Right, because *Nintendo invented the customizeable Avatar*.

Gotcha. Right.

Sony copies Achievements. Sony copied Second Life. MS copied Avatars. Nintendo copied the MS's Sidewinder controller.

Its called competition. Get over it children.

Lets see what MS does with Avatars...

Rare's addition of devices/vehicles to the platformer genre is a great idea.

Based on the previews, this is going to be a terrific game. It looks great and has exceptional art direction.

AT least they didnt just drop guns into a platformer -- instead, they took a platformer (which is about jumping, timing and challenges) and required the player to find / make solutions to those challenges.

Using these devices to solve platformer problems is *terri...

This is, without a doubt one of the most anticipated games of the year.

4 Zombies hunt 4 Player Co-op, terrific graphics and animation, the AI Director setting the tone -- this is shaping up to be a serious GotY candidate.

I cant wait. Looks just great.

FYI: BluRay is a MPAA-DRM wet-dream.

Careful who you're calling big-brother.

BluRay is 100% about DRM for the Sony and its MPAA partners. Nothing more.

Sept. 25th or not, the New Twist UI (as seen in Zune and Windows Media Center from 2002) is going to fit very nicely.

Personally, I like the existing UI. However, this refresh allows more elbow room for the new features; amoung them, that I find most interesting are Avatars, Medals and (most intriguing) PrimeTime.

PrimeTime, if I understand it correctly, is going to allow the Xbox LIVE community to schedule some "events" (like the 1 vs. 100 "games...

Exactly. The game has platform elements that require you to build devices to solve.

That is very cool. A heck of a lot more fun than SMG's "more of the same", and more PLATFORMER-centric than R&C's very traditional Third-person-shooter gameplay.

6389d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

R&C is a Third-Person Shooter, not a "platformer".

Second, Rare is *adding* innovative gameplay to the platformer genre, the new device-building activity is very inventive and will press what you can do with a "platform" game.

The devices are going to enable you to "reach" new platforme stages. Its a great idea, and from everything we've seen -- and what the previews and press is saying -- everyone agrees that Rare is pulling it...

@1.1

"The PS3 has platformers"

What? OTher than R&C, what is there? And, really, R&C is just as much a Third-person shooter as it is a platform game. More TPS than platformer really.

And, the Xbox 360 has Kameo, Katamari Damacy and Xbox LIVE Arcade titles too.

I'm glad they didnt just make "yet another platform game".

The new idea (using user-created devices to solve the usual "platform problems") is *terrific*.

No longer is it soley timing (jump, run, jump jump BIG JUMP) but it has narrative, it has a RPG-like drive (find new devices and build new vehicles).

Its a *terrific* idea -- I think its a great way to expand the Platformer Genre.

Fantastic! This game looks just aweseome. Ninja's *need* this kind of freedom, like current "fly-by-wire" martial-arts films.

Just sweet. I cant wait for this one.

The first game has a Metacritic score of 8.5/10.
The first game sold very well, and is really loved by many.

Everyone agrees; Fable 2's graphics look great, the story looks fantastic, art-style is epic, the animation looks wonderful, voice acting is very good and the most important; Truely innovative genre-expanding RPG elements.

Yes, Fable 2 is going to be RPG of 2008.

I agree with most of the rest of the posters here; The game looks fantastic (both the art style, animations and graphics are amazing), the voice acting and audio is great, the music is really great, the story looks interesting, the genre-expaning RPG elements are fantastic and more.

I agree, this looks like a Zelda-killer, and surely is going to be RPG of 2008.

Glad to see that N4G agrees with the rest of the gamer's forums on the internet; Fable 2 is going to be...

Any game can be played in that way -- just go straight from objective to objective to objective.

Super Mario Bros. can be played in under 5 minutes if you choose.

This game has a *massive* scale -- saying "oh, you can play it in 15-20 hrs" is fine, if you intend on missing 90% of the game.

Fable 2 looks terrific, the game-play depth sounds awesome, it has serious genre-pusshing, innovative RPG elements -- its going to be RPG of 2008.

Dont like WRPGs? Play one of the many JRPGs available on Xbox 360.

Inifinte Undiscovery, Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata, Lost Odyssey -- all first-class, AAA JRPG options.

What's the issue? Somhow I think perhaps your just interested in trolling..

Too Human: The Good Game that Sony Fanboys always bring-up because Lair and Haze are so painful to them.

6389d ago 4 agree7 disagreeView comment

Too Human: 6.5 / 10 on Metacritic.

Not the greatest game ever -- but still loved by many for its new RPG/Action gameplay. **AND** most important, **NOT AS BAD AS OTHER EXCLUSIVE TITLES* this year.

You people look *really* sad when you try and slam Too Human, which at worst could be called "good" or "average". If "good" or "average" is the *worst* Xbox 360 owners have to play, well, isnt that *really* excellent?

Sony announces its games *years* in advance (as we know) -- why all the hub-bub about long dev times?

Alan Wake will ship when it is finished. Big 'f-ing' deal, whats the issue?

When it is finished, it will look great, play great and make fans happy. Why start up the FUD machine to try and pile-on Alan Wake because it isnt meeting some *invented* timeline by MS/Xbox-haters?

This is simply ridiculous. Why does this shiat get approved?
