" I was always baffled as to why it was to be PS3 exclusive in japan"
Sony paid them for exclusivity perhaps -- a pre-existing contract perhaps? No matter, i agree. SE would **not** choose **less income** by not selling FXIII in Japan unless Sony was paying them for it.
It is 100% illogical. Sony must be paying for it -- or, perhaps this rumour is true.
You are exactly correct. SE knows it, that is why they are bringing their biggest titles (LR & FFXIII) to Xbox 360.
MS made the right choices (by not going DRM-laden movie disc drive, nor harddrive mandatory) that will allow them to drive the price to mass-market levels.
That mass-market is what is required to get the critical mass developers/publishers need.
The Xbox 360 will indeed be the long-tail box for core-gamers.
There **WILL** be a world-wide PS3 price-cut before January.
Wow, in reuters no less. Time is running out (ran out?) on the ability for Sony to reach critical mass for PS3 gaming.
They *dont* have years. The PS3 is going to be sidestepped by a PS4 & Xbox 720.
No problem here. Total nonsense.
Who is this "consolemonster"? And, why was this crap approved?
The Xbox 360.
Wow, look at that jacket. You can practically feel the wool texture.
That's just incredible.
This is going to be a very good game. Cryptic has one Super-Hero MMO under it's belt, I'm very happy they've ditched the Marvel license.
I dont want any more "same old" experiences - I think Cryptic is much better off with Champions Online, which has vastly more opportunity to tell new stories.
It looks great up till now, I wish them luck.

"5v5 multiplayer"
Frontlines: Fuel of War has 50 player multi-player. Right F-ing now.
Please PLEASE stop trying to say that Gears of War 2 needs more people to make it "better". It doesnt.
That said, yes, Gears of War 2 has a serious GotY chance.
And, Huxley will be 120 Player mutliplayer. BTW.
Hey, SONY, its called E-R-G-O-N-O-M-I-C-S.
Look into it. That controller, and the keyboard attachment especially is EPIC fail.
For those interested, lookup "anthropomorphic resting state" to understand why the thumbstick is wrong (and in the correct place on the Xbox 360) and why this keyboard is *extra* wrong.
Wow, how could they make it any worse.
Why is this good?
Full library of on-demand movies. Yes, you can Bittorrent the shows and do this yourself, but A) the quality isnt as good, B) the NetFlix library is vast and C) it is on demand.
With InternetTV and this NetFlix deal MS is laying the ground work for the Fully-on-demand, internet-based connected TV. The "holy grail" of internet promise. No more Schedules. Everything on demand.
"CBS and ABC to their list of partners. This fall Netflix will have all CBS and ABC shows on demand 24 hours after its original show time."
That is great. On demand TV. Fantastic.
So, we are getting stories about websites *not* giving keys now?
Are we going to get 100 duplicates of those a day?
Ars Technica is a very reputable site, I've been hearing plenty of rumbling about the Wipeout HD troubles.
Viva Pinata is a very loved game by those who've played it. My wife loves it.
Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise is a must-own.
I think you're clearly talking out of your arse.
The NXE looks very good. The new NXE *features* (primetime, avatars, new friends features) are *very* good.
If you want the Blades, it will be fully integrated into The Guide.
The only people flamming here *are* being ridiculous. There is no way to deny it, the NXE is another great leap forward for the Xbox 360.
You *lose* nothing, its all win.
When you add the Extender, it asks if you'd like to optimize network settings.
Remove the extender (from Windows Media Center on your PC) then re-add it, this time, permit the optimization.
I've never seen Windows Media Center (or an Xbox 360 extender) operate anything but butter smooth.
It *is* your local implementation. Are you running wireless? Wireless neworks have lag too -- try it wired (and/or move up from a AB router to a G or N).
MMO* games usually do require a fee.
I wonder if Huxley will require a fee..?
@1.3
The old "multi-disc" argument eh? There are two EXCELLENT REASONS why it DOESNT MATTER.
#1) You have to change discs after MANY MANY hours of gameplay. For instance, I changed each disc **only once** for Blue Dragon for the over 100 hours I played it. If you sat down, and only played games for *days* (without leaving to sleep, eat or work/school) youd *STILL* change the discs after 25+ hours.
#2) NXE allows pre-loading making even...
