I just wished the 3rd unit still worked -- it has a fried PS, I have to open it to see if it can be fixed.
The first two are in parts in the closet, the last one sits on top broken.
Without a doubt, the PS3 will have a price-cut before Xmass 08.
If Sony doesnt, the PS3 will be absolutely buried by the Xbox 360 and the Wii. And, they will only fall further back in 3rd place.

This is the mass-market price point that families are going to be looking for at Xmass this year.

Sorry. No. The difference between VHS and DVD was a serious "wow" moment for video. The difference between a DVD and BluRay isnt nearly as great. It is simply Not Worth It.

GameStop's VP said (in a story on the top of N4G *YESTERDAY*) that the price drop has resulted in a **3-to-4-fold** increase.
More than double.
And, just my own observation; I was in Walmart the day before yesterday (to preorder Rock Band 2 for Xbox 360 yeah! this week!) and they were SOLD OUT of the Arcade -- there were about a dozen Wiis on the shelf.
Why on *earth* would you be disappointed?
MS didnt say they were announcing anything. The only reason you even know is that there was some "behind the scenes scuttle-butt", there is nothing to be disappointed *by* except your own invented expectations.
