I wonder how long it will take for Rock Band 2 to replace RB.
It is being released next week for Xbox 360, I imagine that many RB owners will get Rock Band 2 next week.
I held off on RB to get Rock Band 2, I have a pre-order of the Special Edition (the full kit) that I expect to have very shortly.

I went to WalMart yesterday to pre-order Rock Band 2 (Rock Band 2 Special Edition for Xbox 360 isnt listed yet).
And, the Xbox 360 Arcade was sold out (I asked); there on the shelf, were about 12 Wii consoles.

This forum has fun taking shots at the consoles (in the console-war way..) but make no mistake: PS3-only owners *NEED* to play this game. Dont be put off that it was originally on the Xbox 360, it is a fantastic game, and you need to play it.
Just hold-your-nose and put up with the 10minute, 5GB install that fixes the bluray read-time-issues... it is a small price to pay to get this game on your PS3.

This should come as *no* suprise to anyone. BluRay is a movie-playing format, which reads at a single speed, not for data (multi-speed as DVD does).
