Yet Capcom made some fantastic Zelda games, so it depends on the game itself, not purely that it's different team at the helm.
He's not at all. O'Connor is simply stating that fans know someone else is involved, in the same way as a movie sequel would be judged by a different director.
I like O'Connor. He's always seemed honest - and given the quality and caliber of the novels and the way he's managed both the lore and expansion of the universe - I have no qualms about trusting him to take the next step.
I'm as eager/anxious/nervous/excited as any fan of the s...
PS3 version looks lighter, 360 looks darker. Those are the only differences I can see from those pictures - and i'm thinking that if your preference is for either end of the spectrum, that's probably easily altered in the options menu.
I think it's a huge complement to Crytek when we're having to be this picky to find a difference between versions.
^-^
Do you not do that then?
You should try it! ;)
When I pick my copy of Crysis 2 up on Friday that's the first thing i'll be doing. Not trying it on the lungs. Oh no, I learned my lesson with my last purchase.
[*Shakes shakey fist*]
Curse yooou lungs!
^-^
I'm not sure i've ever played a perfect game.
In fact, sometimes it's the imperfections that make it. Shows the developer has been reaching, trying to take risks.
Just plain *entertain me*.
Give me a story I can get lost in, moments that i'll remember for always, take my breath away, give me shivers.
That's what I look forward to.
Very excited for this game.
Roll on Friday.
That's brilliant! :D
Just downloaded it and watched it on my telly and .. I really am hard pushed to find any difference at all between the two versions on show.
If you have both consoles, I think much of it is down to which joypad you prefer to play it on.
After IGN's previous levels of absolute clownshoes, forgive me if I don't take their opinion with anything more than a grain of salt.
Beefcaaake! Beeefcaaake!
Half an article.
Does the game run any better on 360 with a full install compared to grabbing the game from DVD, or the partial install of the PS3?
On the face of those pics the PS3 version comes out top in the detail stakes, which is the opposite of the video comparisons, where I thought the 360 held more detail.
Just waiting to see which version moves the better now.
Oh and where are the bloody reviews?!
The game's out in the US tomorrow and in Blighty on Friday and the big sites holding back the reviews to this degree seems bizarre.
Against the grain, it seems .. but I *adored* ODST.
The game felt so deliciously lonely. The atmosphere was fantastic, a score that was wonderfully different from most modern day games within it's bleak noir, the storytelling was wonderful.
I'll take something along those lines ahead of any number of popular grey, cheesy shoot em ups.
Molyneaux went on to add ...
"A free kitten in every box - and special unlockable in-game treasures if you're wearing a jumpsuit!" .. before running off to play with the curtains and talking to his keys.
;)
The only one i'm really arsed about is the Halo: Combat Evolved remake.
X-Com looked really interesting from last year's trailer. Reminded me that there's been nothing about it since. Puzzling.
I hate online Multiplayer.
If there was the option to buy a cheaper single player campaign on it's own, i'd be interested.
For those who are only interested in the online side of things, likewise to get their side of the coin more cost effectively as well.
I think both extremes would be interested.
Plus, include a code that would allow the other half of the game to be bought with a discount, I think you're on to a winner.
...
I agree, tis a bit steep .. but the Reach and KZ3 special editions retailed at a similar price point.
I'm surprised that a company like EA hadn't thought to mass produce the special edition, in the same way as MS did with Halo Reach and Sony did with Killzone3 [both with statues and goodies].
Not only would this get the game/ltd version into the hands of more people who wanted to honour the game's release with that 'something special', but more units means costing less AND more money for EA.
Seems baffling.
I had a look earlier and couldn't see anything.
I presume they must have sold out of their allocation. :/
Just checked again .. no sign.
Is it purely the 360 version you have, or do you have the PS3 iteration as well?
I'm interested to know the differences/similarities from an informed source.
My pre-order for one or the other rather hangs on knowing which is better [or if they really are identical]
If Bungie and 343 try to 'outdo' one another quality wise, then the end results can only be good for gamers.
With Bungie now developing for more than just the 360, I wonder if they will develop a system similar to that which Crytek have with Crysis 2, which optimises the version for each console automatically?
