There are many people that get into next gen gaming and choose not to or can not buy an HDTV. Maybe they have other pressing things to use their money on. Maybe they do not want to spend it just yet. The console makers are aware that people still use SDTV. How else can you explain that the ps3 includes composite cables?

n4g is using lame stuff like this and calling it news. It seems that any one that blogs about games will get on this site as "news". The scary thing is there are many that will quote these blogs as "fact". I think I will be going back to googling my news and not rely on blogs for gamers.
It costs much more money to make native 1080p content and have it at 30-60 fps. There are more picture elements (pixels) at 1080p than 720p and costs much more to make that play smoothly. Most 1080p games are upscaled 720p games.
The Japanese lead the world on early adoption of the latest bleeding edge technology. Look it up.
If Blu ray is going to succeed it needs to be a better experience in every aspect. Warner has been releasing titles on Blu Ray and limiting the audio to dated Dolby Digital. No high res audio. Lame. Speed Racer was the latest disc they did that too.

I have about ten games still unopened. Between trying out demos and getting invites for numerous muti player games I never play them.
I seem to keep adding titles that I "intend" to play later. There are so many games out and not enough time to play them. Maybe I need to be more honest with myself about how much free time I acutally have to play these games.
Maybe you do not appreciate advancements in gaming like real time weapon change and Giant Enemy crabs. Genji was touted as a must buy title when the ps3 launched. Man how did we get by before Genji introduced real time weapon change. (you tube this)

My PS3 is hooked up to my projector in the basement. I only watch HD content on that. The Arcade 360 is upstairs. I had three choices:
1. Buy a ROKU box for 100.00
2. Buy a ps3 for 399.00
3. Buy an Arcade 360 for 199.00
And even if I did the ps3 option I would not get the HD streaming for awhile. SO no, the money was not wasted.
The same as what you would get with over the air, cable or Dish/Direct TV. I dont care. I use Netflix for Blu ray rentals. The steaming to my 360 is a bonus. I used to pay 55.00 for basic Dish Network. Add 20 for HD. What a rip. Now I pay 16.99 a month for Netfix ( I could go as low as 9.99) and pay 3.33 a month for XBL gold. So I save 50.00 a month and between the rentals and the streaming I get plenty of TV/movies.
I have a ps3 and use Netflix to rent movies ( I average 3 blu rentals a week).Not bad for 16.99 per month.
This is just an added bonus. I bought an arcade model for the streaming and since I only need 128mb for the new dashboard update(it came with a 256mb memory card) I am good to go.
I refuse to pay 75.00 a month for HD cable and think that paying 16.99 a month for Netflix and 3.33 a month for XBL Gold is a much better deal. Sure the streaming service only has 12,000 titl...

I guess from here on out all Sony games will be getting 6.3's and all MS games will be getting 4.1's. Whoever participated in either one of these score manipulations is in need of a LIFE!
This is for them. Wow that is a good deal. The Arcade model plus these games separately would cost 350.00 at least. Plus the cost of the hard drive and headset. This is a good deal. No need to piece meal.

That game scored low and sold over a million copies. Yes you are right. Review scores will not matter with some games.
Well, I have been conditioned by this site to trust metacritic scores, so I guess I will not be getting this game. Maybe a rental.
It is funny how Too Human "deserved" its low score but this game gets an exception.
And when certain other games get a high score it is an error or biased or console manufacturer "paid" someone off.
to own a 360. RTS. There are none on the ps3. This will be the 7th RTS on the 360. Red alert is lots of fun. Cant wait to rush with my massive army of warrior bears.
The Wii can make nice looking cames. Its really up to the devs. Sure none of them will be like ps3 or 360 games, but so what. Wii offers a new experience other than HD gaming and surround sound. Man, do we really want more of the same every generation?
I had a Wii but gave it too my nieces. It seems that with a 360 and ps3 in my house I could not give it enough time. I will get another one soon. Hopefully there will be some motion plus games out from more devs.
The agreement to use the online service is very clear. No swearing, racism, etc. Who do you guys think you are? Are you above the rules and the code of conduct? I hope many of them get banned from both networks. I report pretty much all of them. And if we get a total loser that has no respect for other people we mute him and then betray until he leaves.

All Gold XBL members got a free arcade game for the very long three days of trouble. I still play undertow here and there. Three days of no live for a free arcade game? Sure lets do that deal every month.
