I like it since it makes my 2006 pro quiter and I know it is extending the life of the DVD drive. I like to keep my consoles alive as long as possible. My Saturn I bought in 1996 still works.
No one here actually PLAYS games. We all just post about how our console can beat up your console. I never really thought about playing games until you said that. Maybe I should go buy some.

Most games are 30-50 million to develop not including marketing. Most publishers would not want to forfeit the earnings theyt could get from having the game go multiplatform.
Dont forget that as more time goes by the 360 will only get cheaper. Sure the ps3 will go down as well, but unlikely to get as low as the 360. Ever.
Playstion 1 games were about 1 million to make
ps2 went to 5 million.
Now the costs are so high exclusives are a big risk...
149.99 arcade and 249 pro. Although at 299.99 for a ps3 I have to say that it makes more sense to pay the extra 50.00 for the ps3.
Or maybe we are looking at 199.99 pro and 129.00 arcade.

Awww man I just bought NG 2 for 15.00 used from GAmefly. Oh well. I did get Condemed 2 for 5.00 at target though. Face breaker for 10.00? SOld. Turok seems kinds boring. I borrower it from my neighbor and it seems a little bland. Or should I try it longer?
Sell your car and take the bus everywhere. Why pay for transportation when you can get it free (bum rides) or cheap (bus).

I jumped on the ps3 band wagon with a 599.00 launch ps3. No need for me to need a price but, I did not care.
I also have a 2 360's an arcade and a pro. XBL is superior online service. I want psn to copy or 1up it.
I was going to buy a second ps3 as a dedicated blu ray player. Now I am going to buy a 99.00 close out stand alone player. SUre the ps3 is a better blu ray player than most stand alone players, but hey I would rather use the savings to buy games and movies.
They will lose some sales as stand alone players continue to go down in price. The 2009 lineup of ps3 games needs to be as awesome as they are promising them to be.

I will believe it when I see it. Sony needs to accept 3rd place in the USA this generation. Europe and Asia is what they have left.
Who doubts the ps3 got outsold 3-1 by the 360 and at least 5 to 1 by the Wii in December 08 in the USA?

10-15 per month can go a long way to buying more games-not just paying for the right to play a game I paid for.
No more easy money from the credit markets to fund big gambles. At least as far as full retail games. I expect to see more of the unique stuff show up on XBL Arcade and PSN. Big gambles on 5.00 to 15.00 downloadable titles will be the trend for a while.
In fact EA said that retailers only want to give floor space for the top selling titles. We are entering sequel hell for a bit. More so than it has been in the past.

YOu can look up what MS pays to make the 360 if you research the stock. All of that is public information. They are in fact making a profit on every 36o they sell now. That was file after the second quarter of 2008. Want to know what they paid to make VIsta? That is their filings as well.
