The 360 with its 3 year warranty is a good console. It has its pros and cons. I have one and have 91 games for it.
I also bought a launch ps3 that still works. You know, the one that cost 599.00. Lucky for me since my friends two year old 40gb died last month.

That is a very out of touch comment considering with what has happened in the gaming industry the past few years.
The Wii, which had no DVD support at launch (later through firmware, then part of the console) and no blu ray support or HD gaming features, has sold more than the PS3 and 360 combined.

MOst of the guys on this site do not even know the difference between native and upscaled. Most of them do not even know what PCM is and the required connection and receiver they need to get it. My point is there are a whole lot of loud and ignorant people touting thing that are not even accurate.
I bet most of you dont even know the difference between bitstreaming and internal decoding. I bet most of you dont even know what type of receiver you need to do this. I bet most of you dont even know if there are even advantages to bitstreaming versus internal decoding and PCM.
Look XBL is as good as everyone says it is. How long have you used it? I have been on it for 5 years now.
I am also a launch 60gb Ps3 owner. PSN has come a long way but still is behind XBL. SO that puts me at about 3 years on PSN.

MS will lower the price of the 360. We may even see a 99.99 arcade model this time next year. Sony will gain ground because of this, but this is by no means a 'magic bullet' that will cause them to gain second place. Third is home for Sony. At least for now. When a publicly traded company makes statements like that it is to appease the SHAREHOLDERS. Not the gamers. Maybe traders and fund managers too. Saying something less than that is only going to make the stock go down some.
Now mind you, that does not mean some or all of the statement is not true.But lets not start thinking that they are saying that to help Joe Consumer get off that fence on his console purchase.
I do not mind paying for it. Live is much better than that other free service. When is PSN is as good then I will whine about paying 36.00 a year for live. PSN has improved since launch ( i am launch 60gb owner) but still needs to be improved.

Considering shipping is free and there is no tax for most people. And most of these are pretty decent. Much better than Kung Fu Panda that came with it in the winter.
If it goes free it better not go backwards in quality and end up like PSN. I have both and have had them since launch and PSN is not as good as XBL by any means. Again, if it goes free, fine. Just keep it as robust as it is now.

I have 1.3 MB download and 768kpbs upload and I play Halo 3 and many other games on XBL all the time. No lag outs. Nothing.
I like my launch 60gb. I would have paid 1000.00 for it. Its too bad I prefer the 360 controller more. That keeps me from buying just exclusives for the ps3.
