Think about how crappy that is for the developer. They way underestimated the games success, lost out on Xbox sales because of Game Pass, and lost out on PlayStation sales because of timed exclusivity. Fortunately they have a boatload of money from Steam sales
I haven’t seen “entitled” in like 5 years. I that fad was replaced by “woke”.
Why is this garbage here?
And I’m sure you won’t feel any cognitive dissonance about your purchase.
“Is this the start of a move by MS to stop Xbox physical media altogether?”
Yes! The digital Xbox Series S is already 50% to 70% of Xbox Series sales and the upcoming Xbox Series X slim is digital only. Digital sales are more profitable for Microsoft as a publisher and a digital store owner, don’t result in used sales which eat up new sales, and supports subscription through Game Pass. The future of software is renting, not owning.
OMG, the basis of this article is a link from Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/ps...
and it’s not even a deal link but an image link. Will the deal show up for you? Who knows. Who approved this weak ass article? Who knows.
Because of (1) glowing reviews that Microsoft bought and (2) cognitive dissonance. If you actually look over all the reactions to Starfield, you see a consensus that game that is good but not great.
Dude, Game Pass is the whole point of Microsoft releasing this as digital only. Microsoft doesn’t want you to sell games. Microsoft wants to rent them. Just look at how Microsoft sells Office. I’m on the side of paying once for software, including games.
On PS5, a PS+ subscription works for everyone using the system. My kids have freeloaded games off of my subscription for their entire lives.
GamePass growth slowed a few years ago. PS+ is still growing. I don’t know about EA and Ubisoft’s subscription services. They seem like bad deals anyway.
The main competitor to Switch 2 will be Switch.
“The Outer Worlds” was not a great showing from Obsodian. I’m not saying Bethesda hasn’t been a disappointment these last 10 years, but Obsidian does not stomp all over Bethesda.
“another fantastic year for Xbox and PC players!”
First off, leave PC out of the console wars. PC is neutral ground like Switzerland. Second off, what do you mean by “another fantastic year”. The last time Xbox had a fantastic year was in the Xbox 360 days.
These Nintendo Switch for PC devices kind of remind me of Netbooks and handheld PCs from the early 2000s. They were cheaper than PCs but overpriced for their functionality. They become obsolete with the rise of smart phones and tablets. I don’t see how Steam Deck and its competitors can break out of the niche handheld PC market and compete with phones, Nintendo Switch, or even PS Portal.
PS5, duh.
Wow, can’t believe they whittled this list down to only 25. I was trying to make a list of the best U.S. states and could only whittle it down to 50.
I actually think Sony is running an experiment here. Which makes more money, the $10 upgrades or new game sales?
“unofficial port” aka blatant copyright infringement
You didn’t grab Deep Rock Galactic when it was a PS+ monthly game?
I played Dreams in early access and it’s a Sony game.
