Never be happy for the monopolist.
Because Microsoft considers Activistiom an asset worth $70B, they say they lost nothing in the purchase. In truth, they should deduct $70B from gaming revenue but that’s accounting for you.
Unless 6v6 is coming back, I’m still out.
Fortunately for Nintendo, the legal team is separate from Game Freak’s development team.
Bloodborne looks so bad that I had to quit after maybe an hour of play. It’s like sandpaper on my eyes. I’d try again if it had a remake like Demon’s Souls.
Important points are:
1) In the U.S. PS5 is ahead of Xbox Series X|S by over 5M units.
2) The gap is widening.
The $150 discount for Xbox is not “unheard of”. The Xbox One and Xbox One S were up to $150 cheaper than PS4 for most of last gen. Didn’t help then. Won’t help now.
Game reviews really need a grown up we can trust.
I never hated Abby. But Ellie, damn, what’s wrong with you?
Microsoft gets 100% of the sales of its own digital games on Xbox and 30% of the sales of everyone else’s digital games on Xbox. Publishers wholeheartedly support this because it kills used game sales. This was all explained at Microsoft’s keynote at E3 2013.
For companies, everything is still great. They are consolidating, making billions, and giving their CEOs big pay packages. For the workers making these games, the future is not so good. It would great if everyone could make a Minecraft or Stardew Valley, but someone has to make the cosmetic items until the game is shut down, they are fired, and then have to move to Montreal.
Can’t. Blizzard shut it down and forced an update to Overwatch 2.
Overwatch 2 is still a flop/bad game but that never stopped the gaming audience from dropping dollars.
Call of Duty, sports, GTA V. A lot has changed in 10 years.
I played Driver on PC and I can tell you that the parking garage was a nightmare. Almost as bad as the first boss of Ninja Gaiden on Xbox.
For me, Baldur’s Gate 3 when it goes on sale.
$200 for a portal versus $1300 for an iPhone Pro Max with controller case. Just sayin’.
Every M1, M2, and M3 MacBook can play iOS games. Even before the M1, Apple silicon had the graphics power of a PS4. MacBooks can handle it.
Pokémon with guns is not the evolution of Pokémon I want. What made the first few Pokémon games so fun is that they were basically Final Fantasy games with a party full of cute monsters. I think Palworld is so popular is the great desire for a real Pokémon game outside the Nintendo ecosystem, and not how it changes Pokémon gameplay.
Software is much more profitable to Microsoft than hardware. Now can you see why Microsoft will eventually publish Xbox games on PS5?
