I am saying that the xbox 360 version of Bioshock 2 was leaked onto the net at least 1 week before the PC version. Which is considerably different to what you were trying to say which was "OMGZ the PC version is so like on the net already".
The PC has problems in the area of piracy but it is wrong to neglect the fact the 360 not only has problems with piracy it also has the additional problem of rental sales and used game sales. Your initial comment sought to JUST hig...
How is Dead Space debuting at only 6 in the charts, beaten by Spore a year old game indication that it sold well on the PC ? Whether this game was sold at retail or DD the indication is that it DID NOT SELL well on the PC.
If Dead Space had sold well via Steam don't you think EA would be doing a Dead Space 2 on the PC ? The game didn't do well because it had major problems on the PC and most PC gamers didn't buy it because of those problems.
whether you know how to pirate on the xbox 360 or not is irrelevant. What is relevant is that with EVERY game that comes out on the 360 and PC it is ALWAYS the 360 version that gets leaked first.
Your comment was geared at going "hey look guys the PC version of Bioshock 2 is already being pirated" I merely pointed out that the Xbox 360 version has been out for over a week on the torrent sites but you didn't bother to mention that did you.
@ GamerPS360 - well there is the answer then just imagine if they released a game on the xbox 360/PS3 that didn't "work well" with a joypad, would you expect that to sell well ? No of course you wouldn't but people seem to think they can neglect the mouse and keyboard and still sell their game.
I am a PC gamer I do not like joypads, in my view the kind of games that work with joypads do not interest me (ie platformers, beat em ups). There is no reason why deadspace c...
@ riksweeney
Yeah you didn't bother to mention that the xbox 360 version of Bioshock 2 has been on the torrents for nearly a week now ........... hm funny that.
If deadspace had been any good then PC gamers would have bought it. I didn't think much to deadspace the control system was crap with a mouse so I can hardly say I am depressed that deadspace 2 isn't coming to the PC.
I also hear that deadspace didn't exactly fly off the shelves for the consoles either. But hey lets not look at things logically and say "deadspace didn't sell because no one was interested in it" no lets just scream "piracy piracy piracy". ...
If I was to make a guess I would say this is going to be a Natal only title. What ever happens good ole Peter lost the respect of PC gamers and I can see he is doing his best to lost the respect of 360 gamers too. You have to wonder where this idiot is coming from sometimes.
I can't say I have encountered this problem myself but that could be because I am using a quadcore instead of a dualcore. However it is great to see people stepping in where the developers are screwing up (seriously bioware you should be ashamed of yourselves).
Erm ME did sell very well, I remember it sold close to 1 million in 3 weeks. I think it went on to sell well over 2 million copies which isn't bad for a new IP.
Why is it we never stop hearing about this analyst ? It seems with the advent of "next gen" consoles we never stop hearing what this middle aged boring old fart has to say (and 9 times out of 10 it's wrong).
If you think for one second they would ditch DRM if all piracy disappeared then you are deluding yourself. This has always been about CONTROL.
Ultimately that is why all DRM will fail the PC isn't something you can "control" something companies just cannot get through their thick skulls.
If you need a walkthrough to do Liara's quests in ME 2 then seriously hang up your mouse/gamepad and find a new hobby. The quests are ridiculously easy and require virtually no skill whatsoever.
I would have personally preferred models of the space craft and vehicles in the game than lame "dolls". The Shepard character is totally useless since like most I play a custom Shepard that looks nothing like that.
What self respecting PC gamer would buy from Amazon, I have never bought anything from Amazon (hate their clunky website). My first port of call is steam (like a great many PC gamers) then I check to see if other internet sites are selling the retail version cheaper and I buy from them instead.
Meh this is hardly a biggie I mean it isn't that hard to survive the suicide mission. When I first heard about this mission I was thinking "oh god this is gonna be bad" and after doing it I was like "erm that was it".
Besides it never hurts to have several different save games to try out various branches of the storyline. I just wish some one would knock up a save game editor for the PC version.
I cannot believe some people do you honestly trust Rockstar to keep their IP's exclusive to one platform after all we have seen them do. I can tell you now that Agent is about as exclusive as the DLC for the xbox 360 was.
You will find Agent will have around 1 year to 18 months exclusivity on the PS3 and then it will come to the Xbox 360 (and possibly PC)that is how Rockstar does things.
"GoW3 is new to the PS3, which means it has a new engine and better graphics along with more gameplay elements, whereas StarCraft 2 is more of the same."
Erm you could say the exact same about starcraft 2, that uses a new engine it has better graphics along with more gameplay elements, yet GOW3 seems more of the same to me.
Because PC gamers are not 10 year olds running to their local Game shop to buy the latest generic hack and slash game with their pocket money.
I haven't bought a game from a game shop in nearly 10 years, I buy all my stuff from steam or order it off the net and have it delivered to my door.
Don't for one minute think the lack of PC stock in retail shops has anything to do with the PC dying. It has more to do with retail shops dying.
You know when someone gets a job they don't get a tax break. They are told to STFU get a job and start paying your way like everyone else. I am saying the same rule should be applied to companies, if they want to use this country and it's resources then they should damn well pay into the pot like everyone else and NOT expect a tax break.
I find the tax break idea an obscene and disgusting idea. The tax payer should not be subsidising private business in any way shape or form. ...
I am a PC gamer, I can't stand consoles but even I can understand this game didn't sell on the PC. There are pretty damn good reasons why it didn't and they were down to the laziness of the developer. All you have shown is a chart where it debuted at number 6 and was beaten by an ancient 1 year old game and some Nancy Drew crap. I mean come on if your game can't beat "Nancy Drew: The Haunting of Castle Malloy" sales wise, then you are going to be disappointed in sales of your gam...
