That would be tolerable, but then why wouldn't they just come out and say it??!!
Since Square Enix appear to do the exact opposite of what fans want, maybe gamers should start telling Square that they really love Lightning and MMO's, and are not interested in Versus at all. That way, they might end up actually finishing Versus before starting anymore crap games.
I just realised I worded my comment badly. I agree with you, I think the HD re-releases are a good thing, but I want them to have longevity. I think it would be silly if you could only play them on a PS3. My PS3 got YLOD so I would rather save my money for a PS4 than buy a new PS3 at this point.
Lack of BC in the PS4 would make those PS2 HD collections even more of a scam. But I think Sony will do the right thing.
Ha! I never thought about it like that but you're probably right and it's a good point!
Can't believe we had two consoles this gen with motion controllers that were almost made with lightsaber combat in mind, yet we didn't see one good lightsaber combat game.
You've answered your own question. A 'great' experience can be an 8/10. Nothing wrong with that. Most four star films are 'great'. But a 9/10 should be reserved for games that, as ign says, are 'Amazing'.
What does it matter if their games never get released? Versus should have been a showcase of what this gen was capable of, but that ship has sailed now.
Perhaps a Wii U version?
Squirtle 4 life bro
Didn't The Last Guardian have a tentative release date of Q4 2011? For Sony to announce that during 2011, surely it must have been somewhat close to completion. How could things go so wrong?!
Perhaps speed up the boat when the wind is right behind you to make travel slightly less tedious.
Make the enemies do more damage to increase the challenge that was lacking in the original.
Add in the dungeons scrapped from the original.
Make the triforce shard section less tedious.
I love Wind Waker and had actually begun replaying it when I heard about the remake, so I instantly stopped.
Heavenly Sword was really impressive with regard to the number of enemies on screen.
Also the lead up to the final battle in Skyward Sword, and Star Wars Rogue Squadron III Rebel Strike with all those TIE fighters flying around at once.
I'd like to see continued emphasis on it, as not that many games have truly achieved large scale battle.
If it has similar gameplay to Yoshi's Island I'll be happy. Yoshi's Story on 64 was disappointing because it was too damn easy. From memory you couldn't actually die during the final boss.
I've played a relatively small part of this game up to the point where you play hide and seek with those kids in town. So far it hasn't captivated me like some of the others in the series, but it must have something going for it given the praise it gets.
I know it's not first party, but the Rogue Squadron games need a HD re-release. To this day they look graphically impressive, and feature aerial combat gameplay the likes of which have not been seen this gen.
Also Viewtiful Joe, another unique game from last gen that would scale well to HD, and maybe a proper HD version of RE4. Given that those latter two games are from Capcom, I'm not getting my hopes up. LucasArts isn't much better when it comes to pleasing the fans (ho...
I know right
Nobody in Aliens really used the iron sights, it was mostly from the hip.
I'd recently started replaying this - just got up to the trial of the gods where I think you get the master sword. But I've immediately stopped playing now in anticipation of this remake!
The delays of this game and Versus would usually irritate me to no end, but after seeing Monolith's new Wii U Xeno game today, I've actually stopped caring :)
If that's true native 1920x1080p, then I'm impressed
