Seems like Sony think they can only sell hardware ow if they market it for the PS4. 3 years ago this would have been marketed with a Xperia phone or a Tablet.
the big 3rd party deals are from Activision and it is purely to get back at MS for helping respawn with Titanfall. Its all about ego and how Activision lost in court to the ex founders of Infinity ward . Its all just a bullshit muscle flex from activision.
I wonder if they would be in this position if back all those E3's ago Sony had announced the PS4 before the XB1 in the show line up. Seems they made a lot of last minute decisions based on MS's showing that really pushed them forward in momentum.
they should release 3 versions each with a better hardware and ship base games that work with 3 settings normal , super and ultra. That would be awesome.
activision won't do anything to help MS at this stage, BC is a defining point between consoles and Activision are really siding with PS4 , even if every other publisher does allow BC , they won't. But I can see a CoD pack being available in PSNow once its launched.

Would be great if they started to add 360 games that are BC on the XB1 , would be a massive selling point.
PS Now is Sony's way of getting people used to subscription fees for future versions of the PS, which i think will not have hardware as we know it. This move by MS is the equivilant of the game sharing movie sony made at the XB1 launch. "We won't charge you to play games you already own." This could seriously effect the mindset of PS users.

because there wasn't anything to leak. from everything shown , this could have been footage and game play created years ago for a game never finished. Ill be interested in seeing the finished product and how what we saw plays in it. The whole last guardian thing feels like smoke and mirrors to me , so Sony actually had something too show.
could only come down to dollars. I read on hear this one needed be way more profitable than the versions ones. I think it fell into cult classic territory, lots of people love it but not profitable enough for a sequel..... Just like the movie Dredd ;-(

Im pretty excited having both consoles.
Don't forget the Slactivision is still pissed MS helped respawn make titan fall .The sting of losing millions in court to the former infinity ward guys is being held onto as a grudge by the big boys at Activision. MS alined with respond so slactivison alined with Sony.

Why is this DLC timed crap a good thing now , when it was the worst thing before? oh right Sony ! that pretty much sums it up.
Bungie signed up for a 10 year contract with Microsoft , remember they originally were making Halo as a Mac game , before MS bought them out. They have a history of going where the money is to serve their best needs. They are a company they make games , Destiny has made them a lot of cash , so did Halo. People like what they make. Really not seeing how they betrayed anyone when the 10 year deal came to an end.
Im sure there a patents in both consoles that feed profits back and forth , the big deal here is MS could have the ability to really start to leap ahead with integrated hardware and software balance . Very similar to how Apple does with their devices. I could see a new xbox come out or many versions like Alienware does. All round that has to be good for consumers. I can't imagine it would be hard to have 3 versions of a game on one disc , like a PC game has different quality. Xb1 , Xb1 + ...
