The Xb1 has been able to play .mkv pretty much since its launch , used skifta before its media player was released.
Maybe its more a hardware feature rather than a software feature.
Will see how much its costs to finish on PS Now and will let you know.
This will be the game format in the future from Sony, short story driven games heavy in QTE that are easy to Stream to any device with PS Now.
if you had made the game surely you would be aiming for a 10/10. or else why bother. Its like hes saying yeah we wanted a 10/10 but really couldnt be bothered doing what needed to be done for that so ... yeah we will make it a 8.
Sony adjusted the cost of Infamous First Light to reflect its short game play, it was only 5 hours .Why didnt they do this with the order.
Infamous first light , that was only 5 hours but from memory it was not a full price game.
This game will be on the trade in pile soon enough, so everyone will get to play it at whatever price point they feel comfortable with. From new , to second hand , to rental. As long as you get some enjoyment , thats all that matters.
Just going to be gutted to play through and if its a great story just have it end , like a cliff hanger movie. Then i have to wait another what 3 years for the sequel. At 5 hours you would think they could pump a new one at every year maybe 6 months if the majority of the game is QT. Turn it into a miniseries game.
The more i see the numbers about this game the more it becomes clear it was originally designed as a flagship game for PS Now. Its perfectly designed for streaming gameplay.
the target render looks stunning.... the retail version seems duller.
Still looks better than 90 % of the shipped games this gen so far.
Nothing changes ! MS do better software , Sony do better hardware... and the earth keeps turning.
Rent this one and put purchase money toward a game that will last longer , maybe Borderlands collection.
Best Ever ? really? at the most this would full into the "okay sale" category.
I still hear people at game stores saying the same stuff about MS drm and cant play offline etc. What it came down too is out of the gate PS4 had a clear simple message , the XB1 didnt , the crap from that E3 has never really gone away in the minds of average consumers.
And the PS4 has become a cool product like the ipod did to mp3 players. Sony marketed themselves very well and has never looked back.
and a side note i would be interested to see what the best selling...
I played through last of us at least 4 times, gears of war countless times, there are games that you will always do that with , but it for me comes down to the characters in the game that allows that. If the characters are boring then you wont want to play through again unless its an easy grind for a trophy.
Its a shame ! the vita was a great idea. But competing with devices that you have to have in your pocket was a big ask. If they released a new vita using compatible hardware with PS4 so it could play Full/scaled PS4 games on the hand held , have both versions on the disc and add cellphone features it take over the world.
If it flops , it will be bad for the studio , not the PS4.
I hope it stays on the xbox , Respawn just need more time to finish the next game , had some great ideas but seemed rushed , and not complete. I suspect lack of funds and a MS demanded launch window were responsible for that, but it has grown into an amazing game in the last year that would have had far more positive praise had it shipped as it is today.
Would love to see a back story fleshed out via a more compelling MP game modes , rather that capture and defend the points....
This will benefit PS4 users indirectly by allowing Sony to pay of debtors and stop the flow of money going out into SOE , which obviously was more going out than coming in. This inturn will strengthen Sony as a company but i doubt any of the money will directly end up in any other studios in the short term. The heads at Sony are doing a great job of correcting the ship.
Not so awesome ,Microsoft will be knocking on the new owners doors as it seems a perfect fit for Windows 1...
This will be one of the biggest traded in games so far this generation.
