Ive never heard of this game , is it any good?
The PS2 i got didn't out of the box …. any of those features come after the original xbox was released from memory.
Not trying to get you mad , just pointing out gaming as we know it today would be a very different place if Xbox had never come onto the scene.

In reality we owe MS a huge thanks as gamers, the first xboxes pushed console gaming forward further than any other consoles. Multiplayer , hard drives ,online content and stores.
If the xbox had never come out and Sony had their way , we would still be on PS2's up until last year.

Where we are its not a matter of PS4 selling out , Sony just aren't delivering them. I know one store with 80 on back order( some paid in full) for the last month, Sony shipped them 5.

You did miss out my main reason thing for online was to play with others/ friends.
Thats why i pay for Xbox live , Hours of fun playing gears etc..with friends is worth the 30c a day. I consider those times as money well spent.
The rental offerings of PS+ when they arrived made me also look at value for money but anything before that was worth it so by that logic any fun with friends...
yeah but lets be honest , if you own a PS4 you will be playing Killzone , CoD Ghosts, BF4 or any number of other games that have the requirement of Mandatory PS+ anyway. So why make this into a massive deal. I would like to see the number of people that own a PS4 and have not paid for PS+ , this may change my mind , but as it stands the PS4 and PS+ is basically mandatory if you want to use the console as it was designed.

Pretty strange article. I was under the impression you needed a PS+ subscription to play online now , so the likelihood of a PS4 user doesn't have PS+ already is pretty slim. Why is it a shock that MS requires you to have Gold tom play online??

maybe people should be more up in arms the SONY is making people pay for online rather than it being free like it was on the PS3 or maybe we will see some developer stories on this being...
if they do it right and merge the game with a TV show , gears is a great choice for that. The universe is pretty massive and stories could come from anywhere. And 100 million is a small price to pay to not let Sony get any of the Gears Mojo…. wasn't it a billion dollar franchise??

Watched the over the shoulder video of a guy playing, the game looked like a shinier version of the previous Infamous games.
Same game play , same attacks with a different effect overlay( like almost to familiar to inFamous 2 )….. Fans of the series will gush for it , but it doesn't look like it was built from the ground up and looks like another IP being milked to death.
So if successful , you don't think this will become the norm for future gaming…???
this the beginning. gaming won't end with the PS4 . It only makes sense that their vision of gaming doesn't include a console..
Ask yourself why at the beginning of last year they only showed a controller and the camera? Maybe ,because if Playstation now was ready to be deployed , they would not have released the PS4 just a awesome controller that plugged into ANY device.

In one move SONY has taken the first step to destroy retail , Cheap second hand games , borrowing your friends games and potentially devalued any game in your collection.
you can have it all as long as you Pay SONY….
this is simply a way of controlling the entire sales environment for there products. Sony will get all the profit, sony will control all of your titles. you will no longer be able to trade your games , lend them to your friends ,etc…. you pay a subscription and you can play its just like spotify.
this WILL help kill Game stores , just like online music killed cd shops…. If you support it then expect this to carry on through the PS4 generation, and when technology gets better and ban...
