Appreciated.
If it's only FPS then my reaction is - ugh.
That's actually a perfect time sink.

There's a difference between expecting appropriate compensation for ones work and seeking maximum profit at the sacrifice of one's own credibility and the trust of the consumer.
Money is required to thrive, however the DNA within a company shapes what transpires afterwards. Arguably there are many studios that gain more satisfaction knowing their game is loved by gamers and receive money to continue doing what they love. When profit be...
I don't see it as fear (though they'd lose sales). I see this decision (if proven true) as a way for them to save money - test the waters (see if they can get away with it) - reap a profit.
With each Call of Duty, Activision will oversee subtle (or large) changes in what the player experience is about. Cod WW2 has its social loot box drops. BO4 is going to see the value of a campaign. It's generally speaking, anti consumer practices that a lot of people either d...
The answer is simply - no.
I'm not shocked by this development (albeit I am disappointed). It'll absolutely be $60 - greed dictates.
The level of support (free) that this game receives is absolutely wonderful. Take note devs from other studios - this is how it's done.
Upon seeing this my first thought was of Austin Powers/Goldmember.
"You see Austin Powers, I love GOOOLD!"
If they remaster the trilogy.
I will be the happiest man in the world, for at least a few milliseconds (there's 7+ billion people to compete against for the ultimate happiness).

Subtle joking aside. Lootboxes (the kind that requires money) suck.
Agreed. The Royal Edition should have been the base game (all episodes, etc - included). It would've insured that everyone had the same experience from the get go.
What's happened now is a lot of day-1 gamers have a very sour opinion on the game itself, while some newcomers see all of the beauty within the game. I myself feel utterly exhausted from this journey of content and how it's trickled out. Updates and new content is awesome but not when it takes 3+ year...

Perfect time for me to jump back in!
Thank you! (I can't pre-order everything).
Fantastic news. I've had this on hold for the past week since I was getting fed up with some of the little quirks that needed ironing out.
Intriguing.
