The metacritic score doesn't prove your point at all, and the fact you think it does is both hilarious and cringeworthy. Maybe the reviewer was just being, you know, honest?
Hell, if I worked for a large gaming site you can bet your ass off I'd lie through my teeth constantly and hand out 9/10 to hyped games just to keep rabid fanboys off my back. If I was to actually review games honestly I'd be called all sorts of names by the idiot masses.
...
Isn't the name "Twitch" offensive to people who suffer from nervous tics? Aren't the terms "walkthrough" and "speedrun" insensitive towards the disabled?
HMMMMMMMMMMMMM
On the discussion of review scores, I don't think 5/10 should be "average" because I don't think "average" is really a fair assessment of any game. What is "average"? Most gamers will probably spend way more time playing games that are actually good. To have an "average" you'd need to play a huge variety of games of all levels of quality, including stuff that doesn't appeal to you. What if the "average" game is actually quite g...
Pure virtue signalling.
The game has been out for, how long? Almost 3 years? And the creator didn't think to bring this up until long after fans came up with this theory?
This is not progressive. This is a pathetic attempt to score brownie points. If Madeline was always trans, it should've been known since the game's release.
Over the years I've heard so many people claim gaming needs to "leave behind" certain things and so very, very often, the claims are utter tosh. This is another one of those times.
IGN review:
"It really makes you FEEL like a console."
"the default difficulty level is the way the developers thought the game should be balanced"
That often isn't the case. If anything, it's usually a game's Hard mode or equivalent that the devs consider the intended way to play. Games like Xcom, Alien Isolation, Metro, Deus Ex: HR etc make a point about their harder difficulties being "the best way to play" for heightened tension and challenge. The reason they don't just make this the Norm...

I meant out of place in terms of playstyle and capabilities. Noctis, for example, having a safe, full screen whiff punish, is completely unlike anything Tekken has ever had. Same goes for Geese/Akuma and their fireballs / super moves.
I'm a huge Tekken fan but I think Tekken 7 has gone overboard. So many of the new characters (especially DLC) feel out of place. Noctis, Negan, Akuma and Geese especially. (Not hating SF or KoF but I don't think they mix well with Tekken)
I've never played VF but I would welcome a new game in the series to sink my teeth into. Always liked the look of Goh and his grapple setups.
It's probably just to avoid confusion. If I randomly heard someone mention "Outbreak Day" I'd assume it had something to do with the pandemic, but "The Last of Us Day" pretty much does what it says on the tin.
So much for "EvErYoNe CaN tElL tHeM aPaRt EaSiLy, DoN't Be An IdIoT."
"Sure, son. We can get you that for Xmas. I'll just pop along to the store some time in November."
- someone, probably.
The last time I was excited for a FF game was FFX back in 2001. None of the later games appealed to me.
That has now changed. 16's trailer has me hyped.
I didn't think Nintendo was being all that bad until I learned about the game's timed
digital release and limited physical run. That right there is just a horrendous way to treat customers.
If you mean launch content? Sure. But there's more to come next year and beyond.
So long as we don't have the "Premium" & "Standard" car distinction like GT5 & 6, I'm all for it.
Oh, I am bookmarking this comment. XD
Remember Mega64's satirical video about 'AAAA' games?
It's about to happen. :)
This actually looks really good. Will have to keep an eye on this.
Yeah, I'm completely fine with people not liking the game, but some of the criticisms that I've seen waved around like a smoking gun are just bizarre. "Abby is too muscular for the post apocalypse." Right, because the fully functioning gym and cattle reared for meat (high protein) were just for show. Muscly woman? Game is ruined!
The worst I've seen is people being angry that Joel's actions in the first game were "suddenly" treated as mor...
