pc games cost 35-49usd
xbox games cost 59usd.
the difference is the tax paid to microsoft or sony.
this makes console gaming costly in comparison to pc.
eh.. you paid your taxes yet?
think your xbox live subscibtion just ran out.
oh wait.. you gotta pay taxes for every game you buy 10-25usd extra per game.. must feel cool be raped every time.
umm pc gamers needing upgrades every 6months.. thats your wishful thinking. i still have my older rig from 2 yrs ago.. which still outperforms any of the consoles. not a single upgrade on that rig. 8800gtx says hi ;-)
now go pay your taxes befor...
to be honest.. it might be lower or higher a tinch depending on game.
you probably wont even see a difference, since we already play most of our games at 60fps+
asides crysis on max.. which again is just 1 game.. and i dont think windows7 would give crysis a 5fps boost.
i can tell ya ssds made vista a hell lot smoother.
it loads alot faster then when i had my raptor drive, and its ready to use as soon it boots. though i am using 2x 8...
bioshock wasnt an xbox exclusive.. it was there on the pc as well
orange box was more of a pc game then a console game
again fallout 3 was better on the pc then any of the consoles and it wasnt an xbox exclusive.
lol chris..
exclusives are games which are specially developed for that platform.. and so far id say sony is easily outdoing microsoft on that front.
i aint a console gamer so i dont own any of those boxes so i call it like ...
i invested a lil extra and instead of upgrading the OS.. i got SSD's.
vista on ssd's = turbo charging a car ;-)
"If you look at the full ecosystem, we have $404 million consumer dollars spent. That's over $100 million more than Sony and roughly $120 million more than Nintendo. It shows the high level of engagement of consumers on the platform."
no microsoft it shows you screw over your consumers alot more. which is your policy.
charge for online
sell accessories at a very high price even though its old tech and can be had outside much cheaper
team fortress 2 :P
@ the disagree..
sure i ment the pc version, which has lots of replay value..
i wouldnt play tf2 console version forever.
uncharted2 is a great game, but you cant play it for a long time once the SP component is over.
i really dont understand why xbox users bend over.. and agree to pay for online...
imo it should be free..
its free on all other platforms.
pc, ps3.
dam waleed i could have sworn you had 4 bubbles just yesterday..
time to make another account lol
yes as long as microsoft charges 49usd for the games
doesnt charge for online service
allows mouse keyboard
allows mods
no prod issues
also the upgrades should be new tech @ prices comparable to the pc
then we might be heading in the right direction.. id still prefer a pc though :P
360 got owned as well.. whats your point?
the taxfree(pc) version beat both of them ;-)
15usd cheaper... and it owned both the boxes.
imo id drop the fanboyism.. and be careful about sony and micro till they corrected their pricing.
"pc version is also the best looking... console version also stutters" :P
though you only need a mid range pc to play this to max.
a 150usd gpu is enough ;-)
@ below
oh sure a 8800gt is about 2x the power of any console.. its more then enough to play this game. also you save paying a tax ;-) 10usd saved for another game :) 15usd if you bought it over steam.
steam has a sale on pc.. 44usd for the game.
in a way its good its coming 6 days later on the pc.. 15usd cheaper then consoles plus much higher res.
also you get few days to look at the console reviews to see if the game is actually good.. before you invest the money on the pc and i am sure the steam discount will be there till the pc version is released, so its a good thing in a way.
lol you are in a delusion if you think 360 is any better then the ps3.
both of them are equal in terms of power. both of them are based on 3-4yrs old tech now.
nothing impressive really.
mass effect 2, rage, cryengine 3.. all of them better and cheaper on the true hd platform pc ;-)
gaylo reach.. lets see.. will it do 720p? i think not... how will it top kill zone then? note the current halo games do 540p i would guess the developers...
pc for multiplats for sure.
High res, stable fps, mods, free online, sometimes even free dlcs.
all of that at a cheaper price (and no i dont mean pirating.)
say NO to taxes to sony or Micro.
gaming on the ps3 is costly.. 59usd per game.
id never get a games at that price.
imo they should cut the price to 39usd.. since the HD versions are available for 49usd.
if it does die.. which it wont.
that will give micro and sony a clear edge to charge you 79usd+ per game :P
not to mention charge alot more online services, asides that any progress in the graphics development will come to a halt.
sure microsoft will try say anything to convince gamers on to the 360.
reason being they make money per game sold.
FACT is console gaming is more costly then pc gaming, how else would micro or sony make money.
they charge alot for the games on the consoles, not to mention the hardware accessories, xbox live etc. it all adds up in the end.
the cost to get a gaming pc is much lower now. imo if anything such hi powered low cost pcs will...
dont think they can kill it.
even if they did.. be prepared to pay alot higher for your games then you already are.
less competition will mean only sony and micro in the market.. whos gonna stop them from charging you 69usd.. oh wait 79usd per game?
you already enjoy a 10usd tax per game you buy.. you really want more?
id say it will be totally awesome when both of them charge you for things that should be free.. like going online f...
they whore out the franchise..
then they complain the games dont sell well.
shift didnt do too well... imo they should give nfs a break.
