i really dont know which graphics card you would have seen at 1500usd. imo it cant be a gaming graphics card.
the latest and best gpus from Ati (5870) cost like 350usd, one of those are an overkill for this entire generation. will run games at 2560*1600 like 1600p resolutions close to 60fps.
however for the more cost cautiaus you could get a 4890 which costs 170usd. that can easily do beyond 60fps at 1200p.

why pay more? the console version costs 60usd (75 usd here in the middle east) pc versions at 45usd on steam now. we are gamers we arent here to fill micros or sonys pockets.
also console version is lower resolution.
a pc can be hooked up to a tv via hdmi ;-) will run at 60fps+ instead of the measly 30fps on consoles.
i see no point in getting the console version.
now dont go on telling me the pc costs more.....
this is 45usd on steam at the moment.. paying 59 for either of the console versions must feel great :P and in return receive a med text lower resolution copy lol.
even a 3yr old 8800gtx will play this game great.
i dont see a reason to pay additional for the game to micro or sony for a lower resolution game :P

these days even for pc users if they got a 8800gtx from 3 years ago or something more recent they dont need to look at the requirments because a 8800 runs all games fine and @true hd.

imo 500usd these days is enough to get a pc built these days that would be 2x-3x as powerful as any of the consoles and yea it would run crysis just fine 1200p atleast high settings.

console gamers in general always get treated this way for all their games. if they are so concerned they should note they pay 10usd per game more while getting lower res/tex version.
if your pc is even 2 yrs old... get a 150usd - 180 usd gpu
like the 270gtx - 4890 radeon
