please lets not mentions a pc and console together. there is a difference between 1600p @ 60fps + and sub 720p 20-30fps.
why pay sony a tax when even a mid range pc does it better imo ;-)
let the actual games come out. tech demos dont mean much.
it will be upto the developers to invest time and resouces into optimizations. ps3 is harder to code for plus it only has 256mb of video memory which might prove to be a severe bottleneck for MOST DEVELOPERS. sure sony 1st party code really well for it, that cant be said for most of the developers.
cryengine3 is developed with consoles in mind.. however as a pc gamer i will tell you, if its anything like t...
ps3 isnt known for multiplatformers..
i doubt developers will waste time and resources on a difficult to code platform.
PC >>>>>>>&g t;>>>>>>>& gt;>>>>>>> >>>>>>>> ;>360>>ps3
i think t850 is right on the pricing.
remember what happened to sony when they priced the ps3 at 600usd.
also in those days a gaming pc could be had for 800-1000usd.
now a gaming pc can be had for 500usd(will be even cheaper 3 years from now).
launching a console above 400usd would be suicide even today.. 3 years later it will have to launch at a lower price.
xbox720 @400usd + 50usd for live brings it in pc pricing te...
you can say bye bye to backward compatibility if they go with larabee.. ps3 games wont run on ps4 then.
thats what i like about pc gaming most of my games even from 10 yrs back still run flawlessly.
yes console games may look like pc games next gen.. however pc gaming will become cheaper in comparison.
we can already get gaming pcs for around 500usd... which will be the launch price of a new console.
now understand new gen console games will cost you 59usd per game..
pc game costs 49 usd.. and still has modding support.
even if 20 games are bought a year. thats 200usd tax paid to microsoft or sony unneeded really.
...
umm.. whats so crap about saying i bought the game at 39usd :P and it performs better then the more costlier version..
@lonewolf.
thats why you own a ps3.. for its exclusives.. but you dont go on paying sony taxes for every other multiplatform out there :) not until they correct their pricing atleast.
you could get the ps3 controller to work with the pc.
there are drivers out for it now.
give that a try imo.
missed the point about the psn network.. also playing with a ps3 controller would get ya killed on the pc multiplayer.
i generally dont sell, lend games that i buy once.
also i like it that i dont have a physical copy to maintain, dont have space for old boxes.
also i have a very good gaming laptop, has a 260gtx on it. i tend to to travel alot so I like the fact all my games are with me no matter where i go.
just go this on the pc ;-)
39usd on steam.
poor consoles boys paying taxes micro and sony lol and getting a poor copy in the end :P
my older rig with a 3yr old g8800 can play this game at maxed out settings. console games prices are rediculous imo, overall it makes console gaming an inferior and costly affair.

@shutupandplay
pc gamer says hi :P
must be pretty messed up to get this game on a console. pay microsoft 59usd vs 44 usd on the pc version.
end up with a low res copy. later on get charged for any dlcs lol.
lose any kind of custom map support.. mod support. not to mention the lack of mouse and keyboard support.
in otherwords going xbox for this game is a lose lose situation... just like any other multiplatform game... ...
natal is a gimmick at best.
Its top 5 cause thats all the exclusive fps it does have.. let me lay them out for ya:
gaylo 1
gaylo 2
gaylo 3
gaylo odst
umm its 4 :P
guess what all of them got in common?
all of them are low res :P
haha yohan,
funny you mention a console and use graphics as your argument rofl.
@below
what else does micro tell ya? i am sure they got ya pretty much brainwashed :P and they probably laugh a lil each time you buy a low ressed tax included copy on the 360 :P
heres a hint 360 couldnt run its 1st party games in 1080p let alone multiplatformers :P
lol really would suck to get a low res copy at 59usd... ouch.
they want your $...
look at the xbox how they try to get grub every penny they can.. its a company policy..
we really dont need a new OS every 2-3 years...
hell most ppl just need their spreadsheet, word processor and a web browser.
Anything after XP has been terrible.
my 3 year old laptop running on 2ghz centrino 1gb ram loads up faster then my new laptop.
my new laptop is a dual core 2.6ghz with 4gb of ram running on vista 64.
it is pretty annoying when a 3yr old machine outperforms your latest machine on start up times.
Its cool pc is an open platform and micosoft doesnt have much ways of screwing over the pc community.
look at how they treat t...
i recently overclocked my i7 920 to 4ghz
with my OS installed on SSDS there is no slowdowns etc
vista 64 runs fine on my system, i see no reason to upgrade to win7:P
unless win8 shows some significant differance i wont be upgrading, 128 bit and a new UI wont cut it.
gonna have to give you an agree for that post oobob.
though gpus have now become so powerful fps doesnt really slow down no matter how much AA we put on. i play all my fps maxed out.
anyways yea.. analog sticks limit the potential of players. the good players cant really shine from the bad. Reason you cant really get head shots or aim where you like to.. you just gotta aim for the body and hope you get a hit.
IMO for fps there is no replacement for...
