why get a 360? it costs so much to play on one.
not to mention the graphics are sub par,
accessories cost a hell lot of money, notably the accessories being sold are half a decade old hardware being sold at a premium.
360 fails alot too i personally know 2 ppl who have failed 360s.

until we get better looking games (which is doubtful since consoles are kept in mind when development happens), till then even a 8800gtx will play all games maxxed out.
IMO nvidia & amd shot themselves in the foot supporting consoles.

what has bungie or Activision been doing since the last few years.
all i can recall are gaylo and cod pretty much
anything else they do fails (for the hardcore)
even a pc 3yrs old built right will play this game @ 45-60fps.
now if your pc is beyond 3 yrs old then a new setup is required, or maybe a 150usd gpu upgrade will do.
xbox 360 is essentially a 3 yr old dumped down pc. which is why it plays the game at around 25-30fps.. the last ME on xbox even had fps issues.
this one overheats it from the the beta reports.. lets hope we dont get more rrod cases.
there were reports out xbox overheats while playing this game.
if i had an xbox id stay far far away from this game, no point frying the system over it.
the superior pc version comes tax free run @60fps+

now as you said.. you play all your games at max settings, nothing else to deal with.
it doesnt take to be a rocket scientist to run a pc properly. Even non gamers deal with it day in day out. Gaming is just an addition and pc just does it better and cheaper.
yes consoles may have it easier, however if a pc user has even a little bit of experience (which is easy to get) pc...

first i am not a pc fanboy. I prefer a machine that does everything, in which case pc is the only choice ;-) if there was something better out there belive me i would jump ship.
id give you a buget of 2000usd.. please tell me what sort of parts you'd get. cause for a pc to run circles around a ps3 or 360 it would only take 500usd at most.

ME 1 had fps issues on the xbox. pc even on a 8800gt or gtx will run flawlessly.
anyways ME 1 was better on pc. Going for pc on ME2 is a safe bet.
correct me if i am wrong.. didnt we get reports regarding the xbox version causing rrod issues on many of the beta tested xbox's?
would be sad to pay 60usd for the game... then have the xbox over heat and die.

coco dude i would really recommend giving the gpu a good budget.
you can get a gpu for 50gbp, but it just wont be worth it.
the gpu is the most important component of the system. if the gpu is not good nothing else will make up for it. having a slightly slow cpu is still ok, gpus do a better job of making up for it.
imo set aside 100gbp atleast.. you wont regret it in the long run it will save you alot more on every game you buy compared to any oth...

8800gt is a very good card, its very close to a 8800gtx in performance.
only major difference is 8800gtx has more memory 768memory on it, so it can handle higher resolutions like 1920*1200 better while those resolutions might start to strain the 8800gt(only when too much AA is used like 4x - 8x AA) then the 512mb would become a bottleneck.
you paid 10usd extra for your game on the ps3, while the pc version on your setup would have run b...
