Pc hardware manufacturers need to push the software developers, or else i see little reason for upgrading any more. Hell there isnt much of a reason to upgrade even 3yr old gpus, since consoles just cant keep up.

Niether is a Fermi or ati 5970 needed for those purposes.
AMD, Nvidia, Intel and possibly Steam should intervene if they would like to see future hardware get sold. Asides crysis there hasnt been a good reason to upgrade even a gpu like the ancient 8800gtx.
and the milkfest takes a turn for the worst.
4870 is a good gpu it will still be way ahead of whatever consoles will be doing.

pre ordered on steam. Superior PC version for 49usd cant be beat.
Prices on PC gaming just are unbeatable and in the long run its the best platform to play multiplats on superior quality while easy on the wallet.
if psn and live even tried to compete with steam or any other PC service, microsoft and sony would go out of business.

I use the Ps3 controller on my pc for any game thats not an fps or rts now. It feels like playing on a super over powered ps3 running all games at 1920*1200 8xaa 60fps+ :P while being cheaper in the long run then any console.
pcs can be hooked up to HDTVs :P
seeing a pc run games @1080p on hdtv with 60fps+ 8x AA just leaves whatever consoles can do in the dust.
All of that at a cheaper cost then consoles, no reason not to be having a gaming rig.

dude did you play the PC version? Its a different game on the PC. The combat system is so complex with so many ways to finish a battle it would make any other (NON MMO) game look shallow in comparison.
Activision is doing all in its power to ensure no one is playing mw2 by the time the next cod is out, so ppl buy the next COD(remapped mw1 ofcourse just like mw2).

i used to game beyond 720p on pc back in 1998 sigh.
a 3 yr old gpu like the 8800gtx can run all of todays multiplatform games at 1200p between 50-60fps. 8800gtx would now cost around 70usd if it can be found.
a modern midrange gpu like 4890 or the gtx275 which costs 180usd can easily run games at 50fps+ @ 2560*1600.. thats 3x times above current console HD standards and costs sooo cheap.

history will repeat itself, Pc beat both the console versions when bioshock 1 came out. Same should happen with bioshock 2, except by now even gpus costing 100usd will outperform whatever there is on the consoles.

its also about the frame rate, while consoles are limited to 25-30fps. even a 3yr old pc will be pulling 60fps.
Bought the game at 33usd from steam.
Better price, superior graphics and performance pc is the obvious choice.

Nope thats not the case.
Different platforms get different games, EA is releasing so many games for the PC(id say most of them are superior on the PC as well). its just their business decision not to release ds2 on pc doesnt mean PC as a platform has bad sales.
you dont need any expesive pc to play crysis, i dont know where you are getting that from. I could make crysis 1 run on high settings on a 3yr old pc rig, crysis 1 running on a 3yr old rig will look better then whatever consoles will have on crysis 2 and yea in the long run consoles are way more costly then owning a pc its a fact.

Steam Alone has 2.4 million users online all the time, thats comparable to MS live. Steam is just part of the PC community.
IMO PC still has the largest online user base.
