If only sony would let the developer use all the power of the cell, ps3 would be playing all games as good as high end pcs.
Lets hope sony decides to do so before the gen ends :P
Agreed i notice most console gamers do not like the RTS genre. Again most of them never have tried a proper rts on pc to know what the difference is. Starcraft 2 should be a good time to explore this genre for console users.
wow has multiple free content patches, console companies would charge for such content.
Wow would have to be significantly dumbed down to work on current consoles, unless they used mouse keybaord.
Also developing a game like wow takes lots of time, enough time for a console generation to be over.
Wow also has many custom UI's which ppl use to customize the game as per their preference this would not be easy to do on consoles, unless modding was all...

controls will never be as tight as a single player game. Imo the ping alone makes that impossible.

a friend of mine who was a console gamer, quit console gaming completely after he saw the PC version running. Multiplats on PC now, consoles are reserved for the exclusives.
Since his rig already had a 8800gtx he saves money on every game bought and gets the superior version.
doesnt cost much, mw2 or any console multiplat can be maxxed out with a 150usd gpu and you recover the money with afew games bought.
if you already have a dual core cpu rig its a very good investment.
could upgrade to a 4890 or gtx275 both are awesome cards and can play multiplat games at 2560*1600(thats 3x the current console hd standard)
They will use the Crysis IP name to hype it on consoles.
Large maps were removed because consoles cant handle it. Creating a new IP would be risky and might just flop.
why dont ps3 exclusives run @1080p 8xaa 60fps+ if the cell is sooo powerful.

if thats the case then why dont all ps3 games run at 1080p 4xAA 60fps+ unlike games on PC which run beyond 1080p even on midrange hardware.
its cause hardware is limited, there is no reason to hold back games to 720p instead of 1080p.
both the consoles are limited in power and if a game is made for the PC with any of these consoles in mind i will hold the PC back.

since both the ps3 and 360 are very simular in power. its fanboisim to consider either of them significantly more powerful then the other.
Lol someone actually disagrees on the fact that the ps3 would hold the pc back. Ps3 barely runs its exclusive titles at 720p, Ps3 isnt some supercomputer something Sony wants us to beleive.
well pc gaming is currently far ahead of consoles.
look at most console games, they barely run at 720p and even at that they are 25-30fps with little to no AA.
Though it is a concern that developers are not taking proper advantage of hardware. less ppl will be motivated to upgrade if this is the case and if that happens it will just gimp next gen consoles since hardware progress will slow down or may even come to a halt.
my only concerny is, there are no games to take advantage of such hardware.
Developers are being lazy, any multiplat till date runs fine on a 8800gtx @ 1080p.
ATI, Nvidia & Intel need to give us a good reason to buy new hardware when there are no games to take advantage of this hardware.

Plays games @ 1920*1200 @60fps 8xaa. I dont wait for when microsoft or sony decide to tell me its time for next gen. PC gaming ftw :P

PS3 or Xbox version will be running at 720p(med res textures) or maybe below with 30fps hardly any AA just like most of the games on these consoles. How is that not a compromise.
If the console gamer saw how games are ment to be played. They'd see developers are clearly lieing to hype their products on the consoles.
