Played the PC version few hours ago, was working solid.
Doesnt the console version show server pings? this game should have dedicated servers on consoles too.

8800gtx
2gb of ram
it cost me 1000usd to build when the ps3 cost 600usd.
plays all games in 1080p asides crysis which isnt on consoles to begin with. plus any multiplat bought on this system is 10-15usd cheaper then console version. 20 games bought a year 3yrs already passed. thats a saving of atleast 600usd in game price purchases compared to buying on cons...
PC record feature works on every game.

Well yea i find microsofts count of having near 40million xbox's out there as bogus.
Even if we consider 30% had RROD then that 40million is all of a sudden Sub 30million.

Windows 7 and vista 64 require digitally signed drivers from microsoft. another way for them to make money.
anyways there are 2 ways around it.
1. you can manually disable windows signature requirement everytime it boots by pressing F8, if you are not ok with this there is a way to automate this.
2. you get driverreadyplus, it automates process. Its like a macro which automatically selects...

Is there even a comparison between 1080p+ on the pc version and the 720 or whatver the console is running at.
45usd on steam is a steal for a new game running maxed out.
Its not my taste though, however if i had to play it id use the DS3 with this sort of game
pc version you can use any controls you like.
DS3, xbox controller or mouse keyboard. It only does everything :P
First witcher was awesome man. i picked it up on steam when they had a discount. I missed this game too, after i played it i couldnt belive i missed such a great game. You need to play through the first 1 before this releases.
I am gonna go through another play through of the first one with hi res texture mods this time.
still no release date, this game is getting me more and more hyped with every passing new update. cant wait for this one.

did you try the versus mode on the first one?
if you didnt then you have no idea what you missed. Versus mode is the real game.
Also use the "`" key to open the console, then type "openserverbrowser" to look for servers with low ping etc, look for versus games. This game is the most fun i had with an fps in a long time, specially when playing as the infected.
your setup will last the generation 8800gtx on its own is a very good gpu, ancient yes but will play any of todays games in 1080p. In Sli 8800gtx is still very competitive even with any single chip dx10 gpu.
Also the quad core running at 3.6ghz is dam good, at higher resolution its the gpu that gets strained anyways. Hence that cpu is great.
That tech must first evolve on the PC before it comes down to consoles. Currently the Tech is just not ready.
There are many limitations which currently hold this tech back. I see Memory Bandwidth as being one of them.
Though a Fan on the GPU is not so hard.
True lol. I recall the Riva TNT 2 from Nvidia was about the time Gpus started coming out with fans that was back in 1999.
How could Microsoft releasing a system in 2006 ignored the inclusion of a fan.
Dont forget the dlc is free on PC too. Thats even more saving per copy ;-)
Certainly hasnt. Microsofts doing so badly in Japan it aint even worth comparing them to the other two console makers.
Agreed DRM sucks. I wouldnt buy it till they removed the DRM. However if i had to play the game, id still take this over 576p.
Does it show you the servers with low ping on them? just wanna know for my knowledge.
If i doesnt then it just might be its automatically selecting a server for you. Could be selecting a high ping server sometimes.
