anywhere between 1300usd to 1700usd you can get an awesome gaming laptop that will run all games @1080p.
The last time i bought a mouse was 8yrs back, 5.1surround system speakers are a decade old now(still going strong), keyboard like 3yrs old. Well for the OS dont i need one anwyays ? gaming or no gaming.
I must have over 80games on my steam account alone and another 100 from retail bought over the years i wish they were all on steam so i didnt have to maintain so many hard copies. Though its cool to be able to play games from a decade back.
PC = ultimate Backward compatibility.
You gotta get an hdtv for the console too which will cost ya 800usd at least and you still will be gaming at 720p or below.
In the long run since games are cheaper on PC, PC is the cheapest platform out there to game on.
its been 2 years since i bought a game from retail, no point wasting time and gas going to a retail store.

i would add a slightly more powerful gpu to it. like a 5850 then overclock the cpu to hell.

Its obvious they needed the gpus from the PC. Id like to see any of these consoles perform without help from ATI or Nvidia. Sony originally intended to use 2 cells in the playstation3 guess what.. having a Cell doing the GPUs work wasnt good enough to keep up with the 360 hence sony made last moment changes and included a gpu. Otherwise it would have been a Playstation 2.5.

those were my thoughts initially as well.
However i dont see it happening. What happens when all 3 consoles are cracked within the first few years of their lives and piracy becomes rampant on these systems. The manufacturers will be forced to come up with new hardware again. atleast thats one issue i see.
BC2 and The Witcher are awesome games.
Play the Witcher with hi res texture mods it looks better then any rpg out there, we know the game play is awesome anyways.
so why do most of you compare the piddly differences between the 2 consoles versions?
the quality really seems to matter at that moment. However when the PC version running on 3yr old hardware stomps both the consoles you turn your back on the quality and say.."oh but we dont care about the graphics". hypo much?

Lol GoW3 you mean the game that runs at 720p and has a fixed viewing angle.
Any PC multiplat will stomp the ps3 exclusives.
BC2 just to name 1 for your reference, go check it out running in dx11.
Thats more relevant to console exclusives. Just about everyone of them gets hyped to hell regardless of game quality. Just because its an exclusive it will be hyped to no end.
yea consoles cost about the price of a midrange pc.. yet they perform worse then a low end PC. while their games cost alot of money.
IMO console gaming just is too expensive.

If you dare to think anyone even considering PC gaming cannot spend 70usd on a gpu then they need to reconsider the idea of gaming and get a job, cause console certainly cost alot more then that.
If you mean the pcs used in offices with integrated graphics then i agree.
However there are atleast 200million+ pcs that will stomp the PS3 lol.. or any console for that matter.
