what makes you think Cell would have been more costly to implement? both are chips. Generally chips with more transistors are more costly.
RSX probably cost more. Simple reason not to havve a CELL is because it would have gimped performance. Sony would have loved to use a 2nd CELL and not go with Nvidia. However Cell cant generate graphics the way a dedicated GPU can.
I can use both the controllers on my PC.
I prefer to use the DS3.

PC version would run @ 1080p on any 3yr old PC, while the xbox version runs at 576p. If both of them launched at the same time, we'd hear Xbox users complaining about the bad graphics.

Both console manufacturers will try brainwash you with their adds how powerful the consoles are. In truth its the GPU that does most of the work. Both the PS3 and Xbox have very simular powered gpus.

there is something called steam. we get a preload before the game is out.
thats it point click and load the game. its even better then putting in a disk to play different games all the time.
