Also one major advantage is Backward compatibility. Imagine on consoles. 1 game costs 60usd. In a generation of 7 years if 70 games are bought thats an investment of usd4200.

Unfortunately majority of the ppl dont know, its upto the gamers to spread the word on this companies tactics.
I predict their greed will be their undoing. They will milk COD just like they milked all their other franchises (which hardly sell like compared to what they used to). People will get tired of COD sooner or later, then Activision will be left with nothing.
any 3 yr old pc will need a 100usd upgrade to beat consoles(assuming the PC never had a good gpu to begin with). your point fails.
any PC built properly upto 3 yrs back wont need an upgrade to play this and it will out perform consoles.

Also the majority of games coming out this gen just are multiplat, we all know which platforms runs them the best ;-)
Try looking at BC2 on PC, then look at the console counter parts. The PC version looks a Gen ahead even though its just a multiplat.
So why dont they just add a turbo mode in the current game and extra characters via DLC. That doesnt seem so hard.

any pc with a 100usd gpu as of today will out do whatever the consoles can do. I am sure anyone who wants to be gaming on the PC will be getting one of those at the least. That should be enough to run crysis @ 1080p (somthing no console can claim).
So unless someones playing on a PC with Intel integrated graphics and has no clue about gpus, then only will it look equal or worse to what is there on consoles.
If you compared the difference between a modern day midrange PC and the PS3 or the 360. Then that difference is far far greater then the difference between the 360, PS3 have to the Wii.

agreed, most of us probably will pick up SC2 day one even if its 60usd. Though remember blizzard games have an insanely long life.
This game will be played for years to game, hell even a decade.
Warcaft 3 is almost 10years old, i still play it was worth every penny.
I didnt pick up MW2 cause it was crap anyways, niether would i pick up any other game at 60usd.

If you are fine playing on the outdated tech on the consoles.. then u should be fine playing slightly outdated pc tech as well, though it will still outperform whatever the console can do.

Id be really pissed if those were taken away. Luckily on the PC platform no one controls the user in such a way that support is just taken away like that.

Console gamers hoping PC prices go upto 60usd, should think again.

Sony says the Cell is powerful so it must be true. Though none of them will ever wonder why 2 cells were never used as per sony's original design. They needed a GPU to keep up with the xbox 360, thus the last minute decision to add the RSX. That clearly tells us about the CELLS graphics capabilities, which are below what ever the RSX can do.
