Looking forward to the next SFX-360 party!
I enjoyed rehashing the highlight of PAX last weekend!
The platforming is the fun part, for me, at least!
Agreed, but this is probably the most polished, full-featured on I've seen.
The more options the better, but I'm in the camp of not being able to justify paying for this.
Five years for FFXIII. These days it seems to be an even longer wait between games I'm really looking forward to because of the increase in production costs and design time, with all the 3D engines and extra detail and care that goes into making games.
For example, from 1997-2000 four Final Fantasy games were released, yet then, after FFX came out, we have only gotten three numbered FF titles in 10 years, and that is if you count the MMO. Four if you count X-2. So, it seems as pr...
They don't seem that expensive on their own (but I guess that is subjective based on who you talk to). The problem is, I bet prescription lenses for these are a lot more than what they mentioned, so that kind of puts a damper on my desire to have them. I probably couldn't justify the price, unfortunately.
Upgrades are always good.
Yeah, the PS Move is looking pretty nice so far, I can really see some pretty decent applications, even some hardcore ones.
A virtual weapons gallery? Oh yeah.
Good review, although I can't say I'd be much interested in this particular title. ;)
I agree, non-linear games can sometimes be too big for their own good. Too much stuff to do can distract from the main quest of a game, making it insignificant up against all the optional stuff.
Lies, you just like stealing their stuff from random treasure chests that just happen to be in their houses.
Yeah, those drinks are definitely the #1 culprit. I've cut back drastically on soda and have lost weight just from that. Of course, thinking about what you're eating - even when it comes to snacks during gaming sessions - does help too.
I wouldn't go that far. All reviews are opinion. So, he hates the story - OPINION. I love the story - OPINION. He hates the repedativeness of the battle system - OPINION. I love everything about the battle system - OPINION.
It is all opinion, because if it was objective, completely devoid of opinion, it would be a bunch of factual details about the game and nothing more. That isn't a review, that is a press release describing the game in detail.
To be as objective as I can, after yesterday's rather heated emotions - I have nothing against Jim Sterling personally, I don't hate the man, I actually like some of his articles, I'm sure he's possibly a nice guy if I met him in person.
You don't say you completed a game on Twitter and then turn around and say, "Oops, sorry, I stopped right before the final boss." That is not completing the game. I can certainly understand not completing an entire game to write a revie...
@Odion: He constantly tweeted that that he was waiting for his copy to come, and didn't get one until release day because Squeenix was slow sending them out for fear of piracy (I have no idea either). I got a review copy on the same day Jim did. It's a retail copy.
Just because a copy comes early doesn't mean it is a debug copy.
Why would he play the game on ANOTHER machine or PSN account, and have an almost complete list of trophies on this "public" PSN account. Did he play the game twice? Doubt it.
So it begins...
Agreed. I might have to check it out.
