Looking forward to all 3 press conferences. But this writer seems to have a bit of bias against Nintendo, since they are the only one where he used the word "boring". Doesn't really seem like a fair assessment if you ask me.
Nintendo has already announced that they will show a new Mario, Mario Kart and Smash Bros at E3 so those aren't so much "predictions" as they are stating the obvious. Nintendo will have more first party to offer than just Mario...
Well he's actually been flip flopping a lot when it comes to his opinion of Nintendo (although he has been mostly negative lately). I don't really like using console fansites for reference but this article pretty much puts all the times he's changed his tune on Nintendo and the Wii U in the past couple of months

Yes, thanks for repeating what I said in paragraph 2 of my response. But you're forgetting the point I've already made. The first and foremost way to tell what audience a console is aiming for is it's games lineup, not necessarily it's hardware. So I'll ask again, where in their first party games lineup other than the Wii Fit and party stuff does it scream "We want the casual audience"?

I never buy systems at launch. I know a lot of folks who've learned hard lessons from buying a system at launch. I will get one though, once the library expands. There is absolutely no harm in waiting before you purchase a system, if anything, it's better because by the time you're ready you'll have even more goodness to choose from. That's why I didn't buy s Wii U at launch, however I do plan on getting one by the end of the year, a Vita as well.
I dunno, Pachter just seems to like to cover his ground because he has made both positive and negative comments about Nintendo. So should Nintendo fail he can say "See, I was right, look it up, I said it" and if they succeed he can say "Yeah I said they'd be fine, look it up I said it"
It's not a port of the Wii version, but a port of Tri-G on the 3DS. It has a pretty good bit of extra content from what I've heard.

Sunshine was on the cube bro. And who knows what the next 3D Mario will be like. They have confirmed that they are making a 3D Mario for the Wii U so we'll have to wait until E3 to see how that turns out, maybe it'll be exactly what you want and maybe it won't, all I know is that I'm excited to see what they show off.

I never had to point the Wii Remote in DKCR. Unless you're talking about the use of the Wii Remote pointer in other games that is.
I think you should wait until after E3 at least, Sony and Nintendo will reveal more games by then, so you should be able to make a more informed decision by that time. PS4 doesn't come out until the end of the year so you have lots of time to decide until then.
Nintendo really does need to bring their A-game this E3 if they don't want to be overshadowed. If there's one thing I hope it's that this Sony conference will help Nintendo kick their asses into high gear, take it to the next level and really give it all they have in the coming months. Nintendo has some months before the new consoles arrive and that's an opportunity they simply CANNOT let go to waste. Releasing their heavy hitters and (hopefully) dropping the price of their co...
They won't stop, you should know this by now. It's sad but that's the way things are, once fanboys are rampant there will always be naysayers for ALL consoles, not just the Wii U. Believe me when I tell, as hard as it is to believe right now, PS4 and Nextbox will get their share of hate as well.

I know right, I especially can't wait to see what Retro is cooking up. This year the console wars are going to be all out and it's gonna be brutal.

Anyone else think it's WAY too soon to be making this comparison. Should we wait until after E3 at least. I think watch dogs will be a good comparison once it comes out as it is being released on both consoles. But regardless of comparisons I know I'm going to buy both as I love what both Sony and Nintendo offer me as a gamer.
Calm down with the hyperbole man, lol. I think all of the conferences have the capability to be great. But Nintendo definitely has the most to prove this E3. Hope hey can actually pull it off. Just thinking about what Retro might bring makes me all kinds of excited.
