I am a PS360 Owner and although I feel Sony has the larger holiday lineup, one cannot forget the MEGATON BOMB that is Gears of War 2.
Of all the game this holiday I am going to buy Gears 2 is #1 on my list.
My holiday purchase list:
1. Gears of War 2
2. Resistance 2
3. Fable 2
4. Little Big Planet
5. Motorstorm 2

The only reason some people say the story in Resistance was weak is because they have never played it. Anyone who has played the game ALL THE WAY THROUGH surely knows different.
It just like some people say the graphics in Resistance are just brown tones. Sure the game is very brown for the first 20%, but the graphics get pretty sweet as the Chimera start transforming the landscape with alien technology - very Haloesque. I hope the price drop to $199 (Arcade SKU) and this game help diffuse the ridiculous demand for the Wii. I own a Wii360PS3 and I just don't get the Wii's success. I guess you have to be 10 to understand.
I could not agree more about MDK. I would LOVE to see a next-gen sequal or remake of that title. Heck even a PSN/Live Arcade title with HD graphics would be great!

I rented Rambo from Xbox marketplace thinking this movie will suck but I'll give it a try. That movie was sweet and I quickly purchased on Blu-Ray.
Back on topic though, I am very disappointed by Sony's video store and most movies being purchase only. EVERY movie up on the site should have a rental option.
I own both systems and the 360 costs me more - not because of a hardware failure, but all those damn add-ons.

Why are you trying to irritate people? I have no love for Too Human, but I am not going to rain on the parade of those who are looking forward to it.
Everybody likes different games for different reasons and comparing enemies from totally different games is stupid. yeah the Leviathon looks cool in Resistance and I can't wait to play that game. I also can't wait to ride a Brumak (sp?) in Gears.

Competition is GOOD! Without it, companies have no incentive to improve their product - just look at Madden franchise. Madden is good and all, but does it push any boundaries from year-to-year?

Anyway, Blu-ray is really starting to take off. Iron Man and Dark Knight before Christmas.
400 hours is a lot of time ... you are the one that probably kicks my a$$ every time I play. I agree this game is very addictive.
I saw this advertised this weekend for $24.99!
This should get more people playing - this is truly a great online game. It would be cool though if a 360 version was available where online play was PS3 vs. 360. Of course this is a first party title so that will never happen, but it would be cool.

I purchased a 360 after I purchased my PS3 because I wanted to play the 360 exclusives - simple as that. I am completely satisfied with my PS3 and its exclusives as well. Now when I buy multi-platform games I choose based on which one has the better version.
Example:
I bought Soul Calibur 4 on PS3 because I like the PS3's DPAD better.
I bought Orange Box on 360 because the PS3 version was garbage.
etc ... etc.

First, I own all systems so this is just my observation of the current state of games on all systems.
360 has nothing to play until Fable 2 - I have already played 360 big hitters - Halo 3, Bioshock, Gears, Mass Effect. There has been a big hole since those games were released. Once I finish a game, I am done - at least for awhile. I though Too Human was garbage.
Now, I have been catching up on my PS3 gaming - Uncharted, R&C, MGS4 and with Ratchet:Quest for Bo...
I played the demo twice trying to like it ... I just didn't. The graphics look worse than a PS2/Xbox 1 game but the story is intriguing.
Ultimately, if I have to force myself to try and like a game then the game is really not that great in my opinion. I'm glad a lot of people like it though.
I guess I'm spoiled with MGS4, Uncharted, R&C, Gears, and Bioshock
I just finished Future last night and I was blown away by the quality of that title. Graphics on a 1080P 50" TV are phenomenal - truly looks like a Pixar Movie.
The story was cool and the variety in levels and weapons is off the chart. I can't wait to play again on challenge mode. I wonder if the ending is different a second time through?
Anyway, Quest for Booty cannot come fast enough, and a completely new Rachet title for 2009 would be icing!

Any informed consumer can see the difference and any new TV sold today (of 27" and higher) is HDTV. My local Fry's/CC/BB only sells HDTV and they have Blu-Ray hooked to every large screen.

They both look exactly the same. I am playing on my new Toshiba 52" 1080P 120hz LCD (52XF550U) and both games look great. Both have the same framerate and you cannot tell the difference - at least on my setup.
The game is very fun, BUT, I just played the Qore Motorstorm 2 Demo and Motorstorm easily wins this battle.
But if you don't have a PS3, Pure is a great off-road racer. Kinda feels like ATV Fury + SSX
