The only question is do gamers have enough time and money to buy all these great 2010 games on PS360.
2010 ... The Year of the Gamer!
Here is an early DS build ...

Having played demos of Bayonetta and GOW3, I'll skip the girly butterflies and librarian look and go with a blood drenched bad @$$ in Kratos who rips off heads and spits down their throats (so to speak).
But that's just me.
Game may be good, I hope it is - BUT as far a protagonists go ...
Kratos > Sarah Palin
I remember the games became so much crap that I did not care anymore.
E.T, Pac Man, and Astroids were so disappointing that I nearly gave up. My parents bought an Atari 5200 and Pac Man was finally near arcade perfect, my interest had a small resurgence. Defender rocked my world and Miner 2049er was a blast.
But I still lost interest until 1993 when I was hooked again by SNES (Donkey Kong Country) and the 3DO. It has been all good since then.
Video Games...
Good points.
I have a 360 and all of it's expensive addons. In fact my wireless adapter just gave up on me so I just bought the new wireless N adapter for $87 on Amazon. So I stand corrected on my earlier statement about a $299 360.
I also know my 360 will not last more than 2-3 years tops. I did not know that PCs have become so inexpensive.
I had planned to build a new PC when Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 came out, maybe I should do that now :)
...
Thanks for the reply. Have a Bubble.
Good point on existing PC gamers just needing a gfx upgrade - I overlooked that point and was thinking of a new computer from scratch.
Most people already have a PC so a simple gfx upgrade would be less than a console.
I used to be a PC elitist back in the 3DFX days, but have since moved to consoles this gen because the gfx differences are much less now than they used to be. Especially on large screen 1080P TVs.
...
PC is cheaper than a console? Really?
I know you are talking about game price, but please show me a $300 PC that can produce those graphics and 30/60 FPS.
Of course a PC will look better, but it will cost at least twice as much as a 360/PS3 to achieve those results.
PC vs. console is stupid considering the price differences between the platforms.
Why does everything have to be multiplayer anyway?
I would rather have a nice 12-15 hour single player, story driven game like Uncharted, Dead Space or Mass Effect.
Besides, with every game adding multiplayer, the game usually has a lot of people for a few weeks and then gamers are on to something else. If fewer games had multiplayer, then the multiplayer experience would be more long lasting for the games that include it.
Not sure if I made much sense, ...
I remember the mid 90's when EGM alone was like a Sears catalog. It was almost an inch thick and full of great info. Now mags are no more than leaflets with little to no quality info.
EGM and Gamefan were my favorite mags from back in the day.
Oh, I used to walk to school up hill in three feet of snow :)
Ahh the glory days.
I swear, Sony must haved run over these people's dog and then spit in their mother's face. So much hate for no reason.
The price is too high, but I bought one. Like aposter said above, it called market segmentation - these bloggers need to finish school before being allowed to post on the internet.
A license should be required before starting a blog.
I love you too :)
I love my UK gaming brothers. I'm from the USA, but UK gamers take so much crap with delayed releases and crappy PSN store, etc.
Yet, UK gamers seem more loyal and level headed to me - at least on this site.
Cannot wait to school some NOOBS.
Actually I look forward to all the new players.
HINT: Look for the shotgun in each level - great for running and gunning :)
Most of my friends are either PS3 only or do not game so I probably did not get the most I could from it.
I did not mean to belittle you - so I apologize.
You are easily entertained then, because Firefight get old real quick.
It's fun at first, but grows tiresome real fast.
The campaign is really well done, too bad it is so short. Kind of like Heavenly Sword, very fun for a short while and then it ends - bummer.
Anyway, back to the Uncharted 2 Multiplayer Beta/Demo
I'm getting one too :)
It's cool and I want it. Enough said.
I agree with those above.
After playing the demo, I thought meh, game looks decent but not the best like Turn 10 said. Wipeout HD wipes the floor with this game graphically.
I do not like simulation racers so this game and GT5 can take a hike as far as I'm concerned. I'll take Wipeout HD any day of the week.
Just my opinion though and I know I am in the minority.
Tomb Raider is like driving a Yugo, while Uncharted 1 & 2 is like driving an Enzo Ferrari. You cannot even compare.
Everybody loves Halo, and I do too, but Quake 3 was better, UT2003 was better. Fanboys need to try a few more games in their lives to see what they are missing.
I also have both consoles and have always loved Halo games, but Killzone 2 has such a better campaign.
Disclaimer:
I am primarily a single player only gamer, so I value story and character connection over multiplayer any day of the week. Killzone definitely wins the single player component. Multiplayer on the other hand I cannot comment about.
Off topic: Uncharted 2 Multiplayer has me hooked - so that says a lot about the multiplayer in that game :)
I'm so glad you feel bad for me and my ample disposable income.
I guess I should have never gone to college so I can have a great job and a lot of money to afford the better things in life.
Oh and I have NEVER paid $29.99 for a blu-ray. More like $17 - $22 tops. I feel bad for your lack of ability to shop around for the best deals.
