Have a bubble for intelligent posts - there are far too few on N4G.
I agree with you. Kinect is fine and I have no issue with it directly. It is just another option like you said. Fine.
I just feel Microsoft is going to be focusing most of their efforts on Kinect and the Hardcore Games will suffer. The 2011 lineup is evidence of this.
I hope I am wrong.
You are correct. The device does work well if you have the room for it. No issues with the hardware. If people enjoy it then great for them, I have no issue with that.
My issue is the future direction of the Xbox brand. Is it going to cater to the hardcore fan that made it a success or are they going to chase the casuals?
I fear the latter with the hardcore getting a bone thrown at them now and then.
I'm just glad I am a multi-console own...
I love my 360, BUT I feel Microsoft is giving the big middle finger to the hardcore user base - which is about 90% of 360 users.
One need only look at the bare 2011 lineup for evidence of this. I know there will be new announcements to come, but all I have to look at is what is in front of me and 2011 looks to a disappointing year for 360 only gamers.
Gears 2 was terribly disappointing so my hype for Gears 3 has subsided a bit. I hope some cool announcement ...
Probably about 8-10 million people when all is said and done :)
I agree $60.00 is too much but $14.00 really? How cheap are you?
I see a fair price of $29.99-$39.99. Also, I bet that the PS1 or SNES version would look great on a 50+ inch HDTV /s
Same old Halo, same old COD, same old Mario ... the list goes on, but that does not make any of those games bad.
Innovation is way overrated. Just give me perfect versions of my favorite games with a little innovation sprinkled on top and a few surprises from time to time (Heavy Rain, Limbo, etc).
This is why I love HD remakes.
I've been waiting and hoping for Space Channel 5.
Quit assuming you know what everybody wants - because you do not!
From a business standpoint it makes perfect sense. The sales of HD remakes must be pretty good - meaning many people want it so why not make them.
I think they're great because many of these I never played and the originals look like ass on a 55' big screen TV. The HD coat of paint and added achievements/trophies are a great bonus.
I do not understand how having more game choices is ever a bad thing.
Excellent Sony!
Now bring me "KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park" and I will be even happier :)
Day One For Me!!!
Plasma Cutter FTW
The game is in development - of course it has bugs.
I'm developing a website right now that is not due for a couple of months and guess what it currently has bugs too.
The internet blows everything out of proportion.
GT 5 and the Wheel
Castlevania for my PS3 and Enslaved for my 360.
Demo worked just fine for me on both systems. Played both about 5 times each and never had any audio issues.
Common courtesy I guess. I see your point though -> presses agree!
No review ever should :)
Demos are much better than any review ever could be.
I agree. I love single player only games and I will play this game, but not until a price drop.
My main problem is this: Part of the suspense in games like this is trying to make that impossible jump just before a checkpoint - knowing if you fail you have to start at the previous checkpoint and do it all over again. This games lacks that suspense because you can never fail at jumps or any platforming sequence.
Maybe Ninja Theory should do game story design a...
Thanks, bubbles back at ya :)
Your assuming he is capable of functioning in the real world :)
