@ TheLazyOne - I think SL1M was referring to the PS1 audience, who made the switch to the PS2 after enjoying the original Playstation. In that case, the numbers do matter. Brand loyalty is important in the console market (and all markets, really).
Also, I don't think hardware has that much to do with anything. The PS2 sold well because of the games it had to offer. Sony is offering a lot of great exclusives this gen too, which is the real reason to buy a console. You get it for g...
@Sucks2BU & nieto2 - Maybe you should take a few deep breaths and try to think rationally. You are both complaining about bluray saying that games like MGS4 fill it up to easily. Then you turn around and say the games aren't long enough. Can you not see the flaws in your own twisted logic? MGS4 may have filled up a bluray disc, but you seem oblivious to the fact that without bluray MGS4 wouldn't have been possible. Bluray helps deliver QUALITY as well as quantity. High def video, textures...
Actually it's October 9th-12th.

@4.2 $ 4.3 - I think what he's trying to say is Microsoft should have some new IP's as well. Wasn't it said at some point that there are like 4 Halo games currently in development? That is probably just a rumor, but if its true its a bit ridiculous. I don't think anyone really wants the 360 turning into a one trick pony.
Also I don't think the MGS series is a fair comparison. There have been a lot of Metal Gear games, but they have been spread much thinner. Unless you count the ...
Yeah I loved Soul Reaver (and have loved the series since), but never had the chance to play Blood Omen. I'd love it if I could just get Blood Omen on PSN.
Also, I really want another Legacy of Kain game.
@Armyless - I think that was a reference to his name/avatar. At least I hope it was.
I think the idea of using your PSN to send out beta's is a good idea. Rather than making people work for it, it could be based on play time or the types of games you play, and things like that.
I don't think giving public access to the beta is a good idea though. A lot of people wouldn't understand what a Beta is and would be upset by the game being slightly broken. It could effect sales if people thought the Beta was a good representation of the actual game. Usually it is, but s...
If you aren't giving them away to us, I don't see why anyone would care.
Wtf are you talking about? First of all a PS4 rumor has nothing to do with Home. Second, of all the consoles on the market the PS3 has the tech to last the longest. If you believe the PS4 is coming in 2010 you're pretty fudging gullible.
They better have news at TGS. A solid date would be nice. I'm tired of these dates that people keep giving just turning out to be misinformation.
Yeah I'll sell my PS3 because I didn't get a free feature when I expected it. Please tell me you aren't that dumb. I really hope I just can't read your sarcasm because that's up there on the stupid scale.
And if you think people would buy an xbox because Microsoft changed the look of its menu...well, you're wrong.
@ Rockstar - I don't see why you'd pay extra for bluetooth. USB works just fine and is cheaper. Plus you need a USB keyboard if you plan to install Linux (even though its just for the installation).
I think more people should have tried that before complaining. It's much more comfortable at the top then at the bottom (at least for me). Plus I think putting it at the bottom would have changed the way I hold the controller.
I still prefer a standard keyboard, but I don't see why this would be such an awful alternative. It looks pretty solid for something that attaches to your controller too.
You could just buy a regular keyboard. I have a wireless USB board (the PS3 one by logitech) that I got for like $20 at Wal-mart. It's really light so it sits easily on my lap while I play. I also hate small keyboards like this, since I'd spend more time undoing spelling errors caused by thumbing multiple keys.
And for all those people complaining about its position, you should remember that the PS3 controller is smaller than the xbox one. My fingers slightly wrap around the base...
I think this game came out at a bad time. Although it isn't really my genre (I prefer sims) I think most PS3 owners are going to grab Motorstorm PR instead. It seems like it will be the better game.
Of course, I'm also not that into ATV's, so its obviously not a game I'd be into.
All of this and the stellar lineup of other games coming in the next few months makes me think this game will probably undersell.
Honestly I don't own both consoles, but if I did I'd still go for the PS3 version. This whole exclusive DLC bullsh!t is pissing me off. Either a game should be exclusive or not. I see no reason to restrict parts of a multi-platform game on one console. It's just dirty business, and I hope Sony never stoops that low.
In my opinion MS is just attempting to ruin the experience of its competitions console owners when they should be providing a better experience for their own. More e...
@creeping judas -
Companies love money, therefore Bethesda loves money.
DLC is sold for money, therefore Bethesda loves selling DLC.
Making DLC exclusive limits your money intake.
Bethesda already has capable PS3 developers, so paying extra people is not an issue (like it might be with Valve, for example).
The PS3 survival edition sold out already, indicating that this title will most likely sell very well on the PS3.
The real question is why would ...
@tatotiburon - OMG you're right! I can't believe Nintendo didn't patent the "wheater"!!!!
Seriously, that's nothing compared to avatars. Plus you're running Folding@Home in the background of "Life" so I don't think that's a good feature to point out how evil Sony is.
Jet Force Gemini was awesome. Never beat it though because you had to find all the tribals, which was ridiculously hard. I hated that they didn't tell you that at the beginning. It felt like an added bonus mission that suddenly became mandatory. I didn't have the patience for it back then, or ever really.
I'd personally put Goldeneye higher, but I never had the chance to play Conker, and was never that into Banjo.
A also remember being disappointed in Nintendo and w...
I don't see how Motion Plus would work. You'll most likely require the nunchuck as well, so that would mean only one hand was accurate.
Unless, of course, Nintendo plans on redoing the nunchuck as well. I wouldn't put it past them, but I could see that pissing a lot of people off.
