How the fudge could anyone prefer the Wii controls for an fps? You have to sit there with your hand in the air pointing at the sensor bar. Every time you go to far in either direction you lose the signal and total control, until you can find the stupid sensor bar again. Not to mention you turn ridiculously slow.
Granted, the only FPS I've played on the Wii was Red Steel, but from what I've experienced FPS on the Wii is a fudging nightmare. I'd take a regular controller over waggl...
I'm actually disappointed as well. I thought the commercials were pretty funny, but I guess I can see why they removed them. They told us nothing about Microsoft products, it just seemed to be advertising that "Microsoft isn't as evil as you think."
Really this was a nice reprieve from some of the other commercials that insist on insulting my intelligence. I'd personally strangle each and every person involved in making those video game college ads.
At lea...
I couldn't disagree more. This music sounds like its from their world. The incoherent language even sounds like sackboys singing. While I suspect that isn't the case, it still sets the tone and mood for the trailer.
Overall I think the music is perfect for what it was made to do.
They took the BC out of the PS3 because it costs to much. Lowering production costs means increased profits (or decreased losses since the PS3 doesn't sell for a profit).
Also, PS2 games aren't available on the PS Store, and all PS3's play PS1 games. Your comment has crumbled apart like stale cookies, and now lays on my kitchen floor where it will remain for some time as a trophy of my superior intelligence (but mostly because I'm lazy).
Good to see you know what you...
So you're saying that having that avatar somehow makes him wrong?
That's a solid argument...
I purchased Qore when it came out, and still haven't received a beta code. I probably won't ever get it. I sent an email to Sony about it, and they just requested information I had put in the original email. If they're gonna send me in circles they can forget it.
In my opinion there is absolutely no reason to get Qore. You pay for it just so they can advertise to you, and then not deliver on the content you were promised. I honestly hope Qore dies (or at the very least changes t...
This was like the best game I'd ever played when it came out. I couldn't believe it came free in a box of cereal.
I got Qore episode 1 within a week of when it came out, and I didn't get anything. I payed for it and everything.
I did recently change my sign in ID (email) though. I'll be pissed if I didn't get in because of that.
The only real use for this would be shooters. Platformers would be exceedingly difficult, and would lack any physical contact (hanging from ledges, hitting walls, etc). Sure you can jump up and down, but a game like Mirror's Edge would be impossible. You'd basically be playing Super Mario Bros in a million dollar machine. Racing wouldn't really be feasible either (unless they enclosed you in a car like structure, which would basically make this an overpriced arcade machine with peripheral vis...
Seeing as every PS3 game has "PLAYSTATION 3" in huge letters on the side, I don't think many people will get confused.
That's caused by lag, or the other person leaving as he is caught. If it's lag he'll die immediately as he reconnects, or he'll leave the game.
I've had a bunch of people quit a game as I've grabbed them. It's not that big a deal really. I just laugh at them for being such big pu**ies.
The real problem is the glitchers. Apparently there is a way to make yourself invisible and leave your body. That's annoying because you can't see their shadows or guns, and can only...
Ho Ho Ho! Santa's gonna give the children a better gift than ever this Christmas! It's a special dance that I do with this pole!
Pg 5
"Awww bless, isn't he cute?"
That doesn't make any sense to me. Is that a European thing, or am I just missing something? Kind of sounds like a grandmother from a random movie, maybe that's what they were going for.
Pg 19
"Rubber is good choice..." - missing "a"
Pg 21
"Bolts come in useful.." - could be worded a lot better.
Pg 23
"Pistons are just like rods but can remain rig...
@laMs12 - But how does that make sense? How many people have actually played Resistance 2 in its entirety? I don't think anyone has played enough of it to rank it as lower or higher on the scale of greatness with Halo 3 and Resistance.
I was just pointing out that the comment made no sense. Plus, if he enjoyed RFOM more than Halo, I would assume his preference would be for the sequel to the game he enjoyed most. I can't make logical sense of it.
That controller is so ugly it scares me.
@26.1 - That was a little uncalled for. He was just expressing his opinion, you didn't need to fly off the handle like that.
And Gamestop must make a profit on new games. They make a lot less, but if selling games for $60 wasn't profitable how does Best Buy, or any other retail store make any money on them?
Buying used on Ebay or wherever else cuts the middle man out. With Gamestop both the seller and the buyer get screwed. Without them the seller has the potential ...
I think people can decide for themselves which game they like best. You are not the authority on which game is superior, you're just some nobody on the internet who thinks he is.
Like titntin said, it's not sales and numbers which make a game great, it's personal opinion. And Resistance 2 will do exactly what Halo 1,2, and 3 did. It will offer an enjoyable multiplayer experience, but it will also have a good campaign mode with a good story.
And comparing Halo to a g...
@1.2 ........
The "alligator" eats the bigger number, so I'm fairly certain you screwed up what you were trying to say there.
Either way I don't really see Resistance being better than Resistance 2.
Comparing the main xbox exclusive to a PS3 launch title doesn't really seem fair. Why not just wait for R2 and compare those?
Nintendo can't even keep the Wii stocked, so there is no reason for a price cut. Doing that would just increase demand, and they don't have the supply for it. Plus Christmas is coming up, so they won't see a drop in demand anytime soon.
Pretty simple supply-demand stuff...
And did anyone else see the poll asking if Nintendo would drop the price? It was 82% "No" when I voted. I guess a lot of other people think the author is talking BS too.
Will Timesplitters even be good now? I mean, they were great on the PS2 but this gen has brought a surge of online gaming. The four player multiplayer matches I had with my brothers and friends was great back then, but it just isn't going to cut it anymore.
Unless they do something pretty amazing with online multiplayer, I don't see this game doing well at all. It wasn't exactly a great single player experience, mainly because didn't have much of a story. I really hope they can ...
