Kind of an odd announcement for a press conference in Japan, but I'm sure everyone's happy. I wonder if MS has any more announcements they're saving for later. I was interested to see if they had any new IPs.
I honestly don't see anything wrong with them either. I've seen sites with way more bias then Kotaku. Maybe it was worse in the past? I don't know. They do have a lot of sarcasm sometimes, but I think they're just trying to be funny and aren't necessarily taking a side. I'm sure some of the writers have bias, but they still bring the news.
I check Kotaku, n4g, and PS3fanboy every day.

I think it could definitley be better, depending on how many games are utilized within it. The only thing I'm afraid about is developers will just pass on it, and it'll stop being used. Obviously exclusives will be in it, but I'd like to see multi-platform games in it as well.

I don't understand how Playstation Underground even works. The only thing I've ever gotten from them is junk mail. For example, every week I get a list of whats on the PS Store, and I just got a reminder that buying R2 early gets me in the beta.

I think you're in the wrong zone.
First of all I was totally on the hype train for GTA IV, which I have no doubt led me to dislike it. Here are some key things I found disappointing:
1.Online wasn't fun, had large amounts of lag, and a broken level system
2.There were a number of plot holes (like your first girlfriend)
3.I hated playing mini-games with "friends" and being interrupted by their calls. As far as I could tell it had no real bearing on the game's plot.

This could potentially be better than COD4, in my opinion. I hated UAV in COD4, and the UAV blocker perk always wasted my second spot. It looks like radar won't come into play in this version.

God, I hate martyrdom. I play hardcore tdm and I'm always killed by noobs that leave that perk on. I can usually anticipate it when its the enemy, but when I'm ducking for cover from enemy fire and a friend gets capped, the last thing you want to hear is a grenade falling off his belt and landing 2 feet from your face.

@Da Truth - I don't think something like this would fall into that category. For example, you can't make a game about terrorists blowing stuff up, slap cartoony graphics on it, and rate it E. Stuff like that would be rated M for "Violent References" etc. LBP obviously falls under E, but if it was a game about making things like this (which it isn't) it would have received a different rating.
