it'll suck...like when actors get replaced in movies.
Demon/Dark Souls the SP portion isn't innovative. CRPGs have existed on PC for decades. Geez, even console players have had the opportunity the play the genre themselves on the PS2 from the SAME company. I give From their due credit on MP integration.
The other 3 IPs, Journey, Unfinished Swan, and the Walking Dead are all digital downloadable games. You people just illustrated their point; there is very little creative risk on IPs with 50 million dollar budgets. It's ...
Console only gamers vehemently reject:
a) digital distribution
b) an increase in software MSRP
c) paying for server support
d) free to play
e) micro-transactions
f) blocking second hand sales
point is every solution the game industry has introduced or discussed to offset the monetary increase in game development has been met with universal contempt. How many more game studios need to close while Gamestop opens 10 more stores bef...
Assuming Quantic ships Beyond on schedule, PS4 won't launch until late October or November (if history is any indication). There will be some gamers saving their pennies for launch titles. PS4 shouldn't be impacted at all. Beyond will suffer some, we just can't speculate the extent until we know the exact launch date of the new platform.
Coincide with the Last of Us dropping the following Tuesday. Makes sense. With GOW, TLOU, Beyond and perhaps GT6 still set to release on PS3 (as well as Destiny and Diablo 3), it's clear to me Sony intends an dual platform approach.

Indie and hipster are different; and the author hates artsy gaming. What he intended we may not know but what we do know is what he actually wrote:
"And here we have an answer to our initial question. As fun and puzzling as these games can be, they truly don’t have much to them. Artistic control and quality control are bound to knock heads at some point, and not everyone will be happy when the former wins out. I’m certainly not calling the games bad; I’m just admitting t...
keep fingers crossed they're not dropping 8 Track support...
I genuinely feel bad for you if you bought the Vita for the above stated reason. Remote Play didn't quite work as well on the original PSP as advertised so I didn't harbor any false hope for Vita/PS3 integration, despite what the big wigs would say. PS3 was the short-term answer. I'm banking on the PS4 because it could be a long-term viable solution to Sony's vision. Having far less hardware limitations and a more social approach, hopefully remote play will become a popular ad...
@ yeah - "Sidenote: You should really stop saying shit like 'me thinks'.
Urbandictionary for me thinks - A really pretentious and annoying way to say "I think."
It just sounds dumb as hell."
It's actually spelled in one word, methinks...it's an ole English term and made famous by Shakespeare. As far as sounding "dumb as hell" though, congratulations! You did that all on your own.

Somewhere, Crazy Ken is smiling!
there will be a small jump, but I expect much bigger sales when WW HD and Pikmin3 drop
1) create a subsidiary and make cheap, affordable sets.
2) reduce the amount of "Sony" branded sets. Sizes should be 24,32,40,52,&60". Phase out the others.
3) Make one model in other retail sectors: 1 mp3 player, 1 phone, 1 tablet, 1 PS4, and 1 Vita. Quit confusing uninformed consumers. No one likes to feel stupid. Do they really need to manufacture 7 types of Ear Buds?
4) Create synergy between their hardware and intellectual properties by expandi...

They're closing over 200 stores in 2013 themselves.
It's an inevitable situation caused by over saturation. I can hit up over 8 Gamestops within 10 miles of my house. That's far too many and it was bound to happen.
I agree about online sales impacting traditional brick & mortar stores though. Shame to see so many people unemployed soon but I fear it's gonna get worse before it gets better
1) yes. 2) Vita around 4.2mil global base.
I speculate it's one of 2 reasons: Capcom believes the majority of Vita owners own a PS3 so it's already available to them, OR (it's ok to tell me to take off the tin foil hat) the same contract that called for an exclusivity period for MH on Nintendo hardware also contained a clause for RE on handhelds too.
The last two Mario games were copy/paste mediocrity. A quick buck. On the DS and Wii they were inventive 2D reboots capturing that retro feel with some modern gameplay mechanics thrown in.
Now that Nintendo has finally joined the HD era, will the plethora of Japanese devs forced to chase profit on aging technology finally be able to spread their wings? Hardly any Japanese console games have sold over a million this gen. I know children and teenagers can't fathom this corr...
I nearly spit out my tea. I just remembered that part; hopping off the boat decked out in the latest gear, fresh off the Pitt thinking I'm gonna run this. Then I met dem damn hillbillies. Son of a beech!
it's the most under appreciated aspect of game design too.
