W1 is a flawed masterpiece. 2 is more refined, and better polished but it is more linear with less content. I think of it like this: W1 is to W2 as is ME1 is to ME2. I know you will enjoy W2 a lot more if you PLAY the first one.

Actually though this is why being a hybrid gamer is beneficial. No matter what, I ALWAYS have something to play. My Vita and 3DS are always ready for a blackout! The only downside is you get a ridiculous backlog built up and can't possibly play everything a particular platform offers
Witcher 1 is way better than 2. 2 is condensed, more action packed (just like ME2). Might be more polished but content-wise it's a no-brainer (60hrs vs. 15). The sequel was good but it's more of a holy grail for people who haven't really played the games yet like to hold it up as a barometer to judge all other RPGs.

So I played the alleged "superior" version and you can induce tearing in any street section by simply swaying the camera from left to right. Thankfully it was far better in battles but annoying nonetheless.
EDIT: You might be right though. Now that I think about it, that title might go to BF: Bad Company 1 on PS3. It also featured some hideous v-sinc issues.

As someone whose seen every console launch and owned 4 gaming rigs before MS even announced Windows, I can safely say who cares. Mario kart is closer to 33 million sales, not 40. In January of last year, Nintendo announced the IP surpassed sales of 31.5mil. Not sure where you're getting your numbers from.
