should we start referring to XB1 as "X360 version 3" since MS and Major Nelson consider the PS4 a "360 version 2"?
I'd rather not get jacked by Patrick and Spongebob in the Best Buy parking lot
unless they're Killzone 2 size maps. Some of those KZ3 ones were no bigger than the old Socom days. For comparison's sake, Socom2 launched with 22 (albeit 10 were variants from the original).
on Xbox it was Halo
on PC it was most likely Quake or UT
on PS it was Socom
these are the franchises that popped most of our online cherries...god I miss the Ruins as a terrorist and Sujo as a seal!
As a registered poster on GAF, IGN, and Eurogamer as well as N4G, let me assure you Microsoft is the butt of everyone's jokes EVERYWHERE. I see casuals making funnies on Facebook and Yahoo for Pete's sake. Open your eyes man. This is obviously a pro-Sony website but to think this "hatred" is a secular event occurring only here is a bit asinine.
During his interview with Doritos King after E3, Peter Moore intimated all the demos were done with PCs approximat...
A) Revamp PSN+ by giving it a permanent 10% discount on anything bought in the store.
B) Not only make day 1 digital downloads mandatory for new software, also sell it 10% cheaper.
C) Let both A& B stack. So a consumer that's also a PSN+ member can choose DD on a brand new game and pay $48 instead of $64.
Phase out the white, drop the price of the deluxe to $299, and include a Pro controller instead of a copy of Nintendo Land. Off TV play with the tablet controller would be good enough for most 3rd party multiplats to most Nintendo fans. It would be one less excuse for third parties (similar control inputs across 3 platforms) who are still supporting the PS360 platforms but not releasing ports on WiiU.
David Goldfarb just trolled MS & IGN at the same time; one for a lousy reveal and one for asking such a stupid question before E3. His response is so thick with sarcasm and disdain I'm surprised they bothered to print it.
Remember how they ruled the roost on PS2? Then in the effort to save time for the PS3 launch, they decided to port over their PS2 engine. Worked great for a couple games (Resistance and R&C), after that not so much. Console gamers chose flash over substance, and Insomniac were forced to re-think the higher graphical fidelity versus framerate argument.
A poster on Reddit recently asked Ted Price about returning to 60FPS in the next gen 5/11/2013:

rented out a barge with I heart Xbox signs, passed out chairs with "too late" printed on them, and had people literally blowing whistles from rooftops for the PS3 European launch that wasn't juvenile and borderline desperate? Fact is they all do it, and you're right - it's smart advertising. Can't wait for tomorrow!
Like earlier in this gen's first few years when sales were the biggest barometer in determining exclusives' quality over their competitors? Then certain IPs failed to sell more their rival, suddenly Metacritic became the de facto guideline for said comparisons.
All fanboys are equally annoying. It's just through your green tinted glasses you fail to see past your own bias.
It's the normal MO for most big publishers like Ubisoft. Kaz (Sony) most recently trimmed the fat and closed several studios but retained as many talented people he could and formed 2nd teams at their more successful ones. Of course it's just re-branding for the sake of extra revenue.
I guarantee you Sega does this in wake of Gear Box's Aliens disaster and pushes Creative Assembly's name all over the new Aliens game in PR releases; even though it's NOT mad...
It's a garbage TV that's sold at bargain bin prices at the Walmarts and Kmarts of the world. This isn't Vizio in its infancy either. Seikis have one of the highest defective rates in the industry. Trust me when I say this; they're garbage! Anyone who considers this is better off using that $1200 as toilet paper. Just wipe N flush...
If you look at Nintendo's console cycles in NA, traditionally they'll release a new console either 5 or 6 years depending on the former's success:
NES - Oct/85
SNES - Aug/91
N64 - Sept/96
GC - Nov/01
Wii - Nov/06
WiiU - Nov/12
IMO while we don't know what CAN happen, it looks unlikely the WiiU will sell as much as the Wii & NES did. That will facilitate their next jump in 2017, squarely in the middle...
Don't forget both musical score/soundtrack and sound design.
The soundtrack (along with Brutal Legend) is perhaps the best this gen. Great mix of old and new, mainstream and eclectic, each song perfectly fit with the ending of every episode.
Atmospheric ambiance, subtle dialogue between side characters, and enemy combat sound effects were all top notch.
It extended into the American Nightmare too. Remedy and Poets of the Fall deserve a to...
It's closer to 60%. The human brain is the fattiest organ in the human body. I give you credit for the water percentage. It's a primary component of the brain. But fatty tissue is the best conductor of synaptic functions so I'd rather have a head full of fat than a balloon full water of water!

Good to know your principles extend only so far.
with the rest being water and dense packets of neurons.
But if your brain is 70% water that would explain a good number of your posts!
nature of the beast. Trust me I'll quickly find where the mute option is.
Xbox fans need to get ready for every other stranger on Live to sound like his man cave is a concerto hall replete with a captive audience that shouts vulgarities, plays music, runs household appliances, sings & raps, and has children or smaller siblings crying in the background. They might wanna locate that mute button too :P
