Honestly I have grown to loathe main Bethesda titles. I absolutely loved Morrowind. Put in over 1000 hours. Liked Oblivion but only put in around 300-500 hours in. Since Skyrim dropped, I've restarted the game 4 times and logged 29 hours according to the Steam statistics. Personally think FO3 was the last good game they produced and both it and Oblivion were really only saved by fantastic expansions and DLC content.
The reason why? The studio lost series architect Ken ...
estimated lol? You mean like the last time xbox fans tried to inflate the GP numbers?
That TINY market is Xbox's second best performing region. Love the downplay. Xbox gamers don't buy games. Each n every week the sales charts prove this. Maybe if folks could buy games with their EBT card....
except it didn't finish 1st. MS' biggest entertainment launch ever...in 4th place. Uncle Phil said GPers buy more software than nonsubscribed users. Guess that other half must not buy any huh? I look forward to the N4G spin -like the Back 4 blood xbox sales are good article. Remember that? B4B was second on the xbox sales charts so it MUST be a success yet the platform only managed to sell 17% of copies in the 1st week.
MS isn't remaking traditional games. Did you people not read the article? They're looking to "casualize" their portfolio by acquiring mobile/indie developers to create the next big Roblox or Minecraft. I guess ripping off children isn't profitable enough so they're looking at the FIFA whales. Why wait to play Starfield when you can play Starfield Shelter on your phone for free* in the mean time right?
yeah it's shifted to the narrative Xboxers don't buy games. Each n every week it's proven in the sales charts, xbox fans W8 4 free*.
I get that it might not be true but we should be encouraging more Xbox gamers to buy games, not rent them. Doesn't even have to be Day 1, just support good devs and buy good games. Hell I only buy 2-3 day1'ers a year myself yet I bought on average about 35 games a year last gen.
Hope you do buy it Dan!
So you only tried/played those games thanks to GP? Would you like a gold sticker or a golf clap? No wonder the more HARDWARE MS sells, the less SOFTWARE it sells. Xbox gamers are trained to w8 4 free*
@ venomUK I'll take Daniel Ahmad's estimates ANYDAY over VGgarbage's fake numbers. No doubt by now both companies are securing more chips, more people are going back to work, and demand is still at a premium. My gripe isn't with MS, it's their cheap fanbase ...
I should happy that MS can't sell software? Look at the software charts for every major release since last November. With GP, the numbers are even worse.
For shits n giggles, say Hades sold 1 miilion copies when it released on PS/Xbox platforms. With a 7% sales clip that's an impressive 70k units sold on a install base of 5 million at the time. Should I be cheerleading like all the Xbox fans here for such dismal results?
Let's look at a non...
"I gotta have me some anime dabonkers" in my games....
When's the last time you held a real pair?
They don't have to worry though when they got you to defend them, O Black Knight of the Xbox Brigade! High atop your PC perch you scan the web for innocents.
EDIT: Did you hear a woosh when you typed that? That's the sound of irony
ON Topic: Compulsion is the one head scratcher out of all MS' acquisitions. They had no track record as a studio and made one crappy indie title when purchased. THEN We Happy Few bombed. Does Vegas have odds yet on ...
"when normal people point out..."
where? Show me a normal person in this thread please. 30 yr old basement bronies living in mom/dad's basement aren't normal. Adults who can't form complete sentences aren't normal. Adults in general who argue over shiny pieces of plastic aren't normal. People who get so festered over an OP that they highjack a thread by posting the same inane, braindead comments throughout aren't normal. Should I continue?...
Only 2 major releases, FIFA and Madden, have sold better on last gen consoles than their current gen counterparts since November '20. People look at the install base numbers (165 mil vs. 19mil) and automatically think it equates to larger sales. It doesn't. Not when early adopters are mainly enthusiast buyers.
Despite the pandemic and all its labor related issues, both companies have sold more units than previous eras. Which is pretty impressive for Sony, given th...
PixelOpus created a highly original game in Concrete Genie. It wasn't a commercial success by any stretch of the means. But imagine lifting the draw mechanic and putting it into a PSVR2 RPG where you draw your own creations & battle in co-op dungeons. Could have to draw your own health and mana potions, arrows, etc.. but only have so much ink to start with while exploring dungeons. That way strategy, careful planning, and teamwork is a must. I look forward to what they, Firesprite, an...
I'm expecting 7&8 to be bundled at 2's launch. Hopefully HL:Alyx, Moss 2, Astro 2, and GT7 integration too.
On topic, fear is a primal emotion. People love to be scared. That's why there's at least 50 paranormal reality shows on TV nowadays. Capcom was smart to take advantage of the generational leap afforded to us by new hardware back in '95. In 2D it's hard to scare people when the monster running towards you is from the OTHER side of the scree...
oooh that means it'll also have the Nintendo Seal of Approval and the Optimised for X/S logos too!?!
and I loathed the always drunk Austin Powers motif. Super old, very fast. Returnal all the way for me
just like the game, the review is also remastered.
lol Todd Howard living off Ken Rolston's breadcrumbs. ES6 will just be another formulaic copy of Morrowind. Right down to the shitty engine's myriad of bugs
Yep. Buy 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party on PS, double dip on 3rd party PC, buy occasional 1st party on Nintendo, and rent on Xbox. I'll never buy another game from MS since it's apparent developers get paid quite handsomely off GP contracts according to Xbox fans here
