they didn't want people like me criticizing them for 2 being one ugly game and a patch would likely make my point since it would look more next gen than 2.

according to MS, Sony isn't their direct competition either Teddy. How is a welfare program a net loss on Sony when they sell more hardware and software than MS? And it's by a WIDE margin, not even close. Smart delivery and the $10 upgrade path are pertinent to the discussion but once again you go off on a tangent because your inner fanboy couldn't restrict its thoughts to the actual subject matter. We get it. You're hopeful Sony launches their own rental program so you finall...

If it turns out good, exactly. Not a big fan of the developer though. Think the last game they did was Homefront 2. I'd have a lot less reluctance if Deep Silver had Violition working on it after Saint's Row. Hope they announce a new Red Faction a la Guerilla after Saints. Still the best destruction

I think that too. Great looking game but some patch is needed. Doesn't look as good as Ratchet except at the title screen. I disabled motion blur and film grain to zero and that weird shimmering effect in the foliage is still present.

this one's guaranteed. Resi7&8 bundle (village VR2 patch guaranteed), a new Astrobot, maybe Moss 2 at launch, hoping for Alyx as well. I avoided the first but VR2 is gonna have some bangers at launch. Hoping Sony, Valve, and FB can come to an agreement where after a period of exclusivity each will release their wares on each other platforms. The VR market can't grow if only there's only one major content publisher per platform.

no way SF6 is exclusive to Xbox unless they buy Capcom. SF5 proved they don't need MS. Let's dispel that idiotic notion. As for coming to the console absolutely that could happen. Of course I'm sure Capcom looks on nervously when the new KOF sold about 80% on PS this past week. Another genre you Xbox guys apparently don't buy. I'm sure Cappy's loving it. That rising GP paycheck gonna soon outweigh Sony's exclusivity check

you get disagrees but kinda true. I started messing around with the Gunk recently and it feels like a poor man's Kena. Same premise, one's supernatural, the other alien biological - both have you reclaiming the environment. One feels like an actual game and the other feels like a billboard for social commentary.

because Sitdown, it's a narrative that rings true even today. Very little software sold between 2013-2017. In the absence of sales MS devised a rental service to spike revenue. It's not working. Lemme guess early access is the new plan? I don't know whether I should be impressed or embarrassed a million dummies couldn't wait 4 days for Forza Horizon.

Meanwhile I just paid the upgrade fee for the UC4 collection, bought Dying Light 2, Horizon FW, and Elden Ring...

great track record? Are you serious? Maybe the games themselves but definitely not their respective LAUNCHES. Any longtime PC gamer knows it takes about 12-18 months for CDR games to be playable. Aside from the Witcher 3 EVERY game they have released had to be reworked. Witcher 1 was a mess - and it wasn't due to the dreadful Atari DRM like CDR likes to regurgitate. Same with Witcher 2. It wasn't until the Assassination of Kings free DLC update for the sequel that the IP gained real ...

that's the point though Simple. GTA characters have always been based off stereotypes popularized by other mediums. The "simple" fact you so readily identified the usual tropes means they achieved exactly what they set out to do! These games have always been intended to be satirical parodies, just not to the level of goofy/zany like Saints Row

So then it copied the gameplay mechanic from Crackdown? That's all you reference. Did you NOT know BOTW copied it from another game? That's pushing the envelope?

you mean Playground? 343 & Coalition were handed 2 of the most iconic IPs and both franchises are slowly spiraling into irrelevancy. Both haven't lived up to Bungie and Epic's prior work. Turn 10 liked to brag a lot during the 360 days and now been overshadowed by their colleagues. GT7 will go on to sell 15 million this gen while Turn 10 will tweet about skid marks from MAU subs on GP.

The easiest way to penetrate the Japanese market (if that's MS next int...

VGarbage off by a million. What else is new. That's why he got downvotes because there's a whole slew of posters who defend that puke here and treat it like gospel. Maybe his previous rep or ppl don't understand business.

I'll take a F2P Socom from Bungie. It could easily replace COD eventually going exclusive. EA has tanked the BF series so's now the time! Dedicated servers, full clan support, classic and new maps, sell 4P co-op expansions...let season passes and micros make the money.

exactly, hence the reason they bought Bungie. I'm not happy with the direction but it's not like every 1st party studio is making GaaS games. Bungie is. Insomniac, ND, Santa Monica, Sucker Punch, and Guerilla are all making SP content. With Sony's commitment to PC I do see more co-op integration. They are acutely aware of console concerns of rampant cheating playing by PC gamers (whether real or not) so I do see more PvE in the future.

Capcom on MS? Not by RE:Village's sales numbers they don't. There's a reason Sony buys developers and MS HAS to buy the publishers

"Just because one person doesn't like something doesn't mean it isn't huge"

Very true but Bayonetta 3 isn't a high profile game because you like it. 1st one sold 3 million over 5 years on PS360 amidst controversy over Platinum refusing to do the PS3 port. Sega lost money and the IP was picked up by Nintendo. The sequel sold 1.5 mil on WiiU/Switch. It's a good franchise with good metacritic scores but isn't applicable for this discussion of...
