yep gotta give credit to MS this round. Doesn't matter if the "S" can hang on in the long run, or why people buy 'em. They had a plan in place to offset covid's impact whereas Sony had unicorns in the wild. I still have 2 friends from the Prince George area looking for the mythical DIGITAL PS5s.
the only naysayers were the stupid people who believed Nintendo's PR it's a console. Like I said when they announced it, name one Nintendo handheld that failed? Even the 3DS sold 75 mil. I'm just continually amazed how little people employ critical thinking nowadays. I don't care how how you utilize it, at it's core, it's a handheld and anyone expecting another WiiU disaster from a Nintendo handheld was a nutcase. Nintendo knows their audience too well. I expect the...
not on mobile. Double digit gains. Can't wait till Halo is given to King lol.
except it's not 2 mil on GP. That's the total number of players, including those who purchased it on PS. 1 mil is awful for a free game.
EDIT: think of it this way - there were just as many players on PS willing to PAY for it as it was downloaded on Xbox for FREE*
it's a Sony game. Just like Demon's Souls, they don't need From's assistance to commit to a remake/remaster. But yes I agree it's too close to Elden Ring's launch. If Sony does this it has to be at least a director's cut too. Not a simple remaster. Reinsert the cut content (extra area, 2 bosses).
if you didn't find your answers mate, it's both L4D and Friday the 13th. Supposedly it can enjoyed as 4 player co-op but can also add a 5th to be the demon and hunt players a la DBD/Friday. Saber scored big on WWZ, let's see if they can replicate that success. I'm really glad they're incorporating the characters and lore from the Showtime series. Time to kill some demons el jefe
I do and I really don't care as long as Sony tells us their policy. I don't expect Day 1s on all platforms. But if its Day 1 on PS5, 12 months later on PS+, and 12 months later on PC, fine. If Sony halves the delayed releases to 6 months apart, fine. Just tell us, not all PS fans are single platform users. Meeting financial expectations apparently doesn't factor in the decision as GoW and Days Gone are on opposite ends of the sales pendulum. With all the recent acquisitions, it...
1st it's Orchard who claims to be a programmer.
Now Teddy claims to work in game marketing/advertising while being a union rep lol
Both schill MS all day long yet claim to not own Xboxes.
I'm convinced Chris allows the posts just for the humor. I used to think it was the site traffic these posts generated
Orchard - look at it this way. If new Astro content accompanies PSVR2, then he already is the best Sony mascot in ages. With every appearance, he heralds in a new hardware/peripheral era. Maybe a full-blown, flat screen platformer at PS6's launch?!
No one on Xbox buys games Apocalypse. Second straight year 3rd party sales down YOY. MLB/Sony is smart to take the GP money. They wouldn't make money otherwise publishing it on non-Sony platforms. The Switch sales are what I'm curious to see - if it's worth it.
no darth, I'm saying 12 mil at end of 2021 from a respected analyst. So I deduced MS sold 1.7 mil in the 3 slowest months of the year with chip shortages and no games according to VG? Bullshit, and neither did Sony. The only one of the 3 who could've managed that was Nintendo, relying on OLED to sell antiquated tech.

"Ahmad estimates that Xbox Series X/S sales are in the ballpark of 12 million units." Industry analyst or fanboy internet site, take your pick.
GamePass in its current iteration is massively overhyped. The selection aside from 1st party titles is downright awful. Recommend to anyone not already invested in the ecosystem to wait until MS' latest acquisitions bear fruit to buy. GP will be solid then; at best it's currently a selection of AA indies like Warhammer that "they never would've tried if not included" in their subscription. At its worst it's a bunch of forgettable, early access titles. So bad they had...
the reality is the 1st sold 2 million because it was in the launch window. The sequel came and went, selling less than 800k. Unless Sony is retrofitting the series with PSVR2, continuing this franchise is very perplexing. This is akin to say Concrete Genie getting a sequel over Ratchet and Clank.
@ Fox,
Aliens Fireteam Elite isn't asymmetrical MP. One thing to criticize games but at least know what the hell you're criticizing it about. I get it - you like SP. Good thing though you don't make the games. God I'd hate to be stuck playing nothing but SP games and have to come on internet sites to spout negativity for my co-op fix. And it DOES look like the subgenre is evolving: while not groundbreaking, the last 2 games (Evil Dead and now Ghostbusters) feature c...
I agree. MS won't drop the ball, they know how to market. But Bethesda might. All we've seen is a cockpit, some control panels, and a door. Todd and Pete haven't shown us anything other than living off Ken Rolston's ready-made formula (Morrowind). Far more excited for Avowed

Duh, Savathun's obviously a free mason.
ask and ye shall receive. Checking out the PS5 version now to see if my assessment ring true. No reason to take this long when you supported the original for 5 goddamn years yet a patch takes too many resources lol
EDIT: Next gen patch is almost 16gig
the ps1 and 2 eras were nothing of the sort. Games were cheap to make and Sony was the richest kid on the block. Very few 1st party games were top sellers and the biggest ones were mainly 3rd party affairs. Just ask yourself one question: How many IPs from that era does Sony refresh currently? Just GT. It wasn't until the PS3 that Sony really invested into their 1st party studios. I don't mean from an economic standpoint but rather hiring great talent and LET them do passion projects...
