...and I agree with Fan Tastic - it was a smelly piece of turd. Although, I did finish it just to see if it got any better...but, it didn't.
Ryo was more robotic than Robocop and his painful dialogue made me cringe everytime I heard him speak.
And he could pull out his voodoo doll to replace force powers.
My parents play the Wii almost everyday and my missus plays Uncharted 2 online with me when we feel like it.
And you know what? They all play with the same passion and love for the games. The missus lets out a bunch expletives when ever she gets pulled down from a ledge in U2 and even my parents trash talk each other when they play Wii tennis together.
I started playing games before I was 10 and I poured hours into games like Flashback and Another World. So ...
...the art style is fantastic and has a certain charm, although, it's a little lacking in terms of detail. It's such a big world (kind of like San Andreas, but much, much bigger) that I think the gameplay would be compromised if they upped the graphics quality. But there's no denying that it's an immersive and beautiful game.
As for those wishing death for the game: Why?
It's a great game with a good online community. The game can be enjoy...
...one of my favourite games.
Great atmosphere, great music, great characters. Just great!
Maybe if we all yell loud enough some developer or publisher will do it!!
I think I'm the only one who agrees with you about San Andreas. Nothing tops the "Are you going to San Fierro?" mission, when you realize how much the game opens up from there. Great stuff!
...yet, somebody has already disagreed with you and that's just sad. Kind of lame really. Gaming is my hobby not my profession so why should I care about sales? As long as I have the game in my hands, I'm happy.
I liked the first game, but I was going to leave this for later since I've got a backlog of games. Now, it's on my preorder list. Shame it isn't released near Valentine's Day, so I could sneak it as a present for the missus!
There doesn't appear to be a viable option for a clean, silent and non-lethal takedown. The first game let you choose who to kill, especially since some of the characters turned out to be.... ooops, no spoilers for anyone who hasn't played the game.
Deus Ex allowed for almost no kills throughout the game and that itself, was an incredible challenge. My decisions in the game felt gradual and subtle, by the end it seemed to make a difference.
Loved it in the first game and would like it for the next. The only possible non-lethal option is the crossbow, if it can be equipped with tranquilizer darts, perhaps. Hmmm, I hope there's more than this coz I really don't want to slaughter ever NPC that crosses my path.
Also, the return of the crowbar would be nice..
...and your enthusiasm for Kinect is almost infectious....almost! At least you put a smile to my face.
Interested? Hmmm...Maybe.
The Kinect will sell, there's no doubt about it. I can only hope that with those sales, the platform can eventually pump out some interesting games that I can enjoy. I mean, yes, I'm happy that my family can use it for exercise and fitness, but what's in it for me?
After a long day of hard work, all I want to do is sit down with a drink and escape. If Kinect can give me that, then I'm sold.
...but I like to go to parties with beer, music and girls - not some lame ass gaming party.
...and, in just a few minutes with the stripped-down demo, I noticed heaps of improvements. Defensive switching, fake passes, rebounding, animations, improved AI inbound passes(harder to anticipate because AI sends help), and there's so much more. I'm pretty sure the demo was on easy level but it was still challenging. Hall of Fame level should be tough as nails, so I can't wait to pick this up.
And to top it off, it's got MJ and top teams from the golden era!...
Probably won't happen though...sigh
...I'm pretty sure it's Kevin Durant on the cover. Besides, that picture looks a little sacrilegious and would probably get a tonne of complaints.
Regardless, it's 2K11 for me baby!!!
...can't be too good for anyone affected by this though. I can imagine some dude having to explain to his wife about the "contents" on his comp.
I don't know, really, but it's the closest thing we have to the Oscars.
...it's kind of weird that the augmentations are more advanced than they were in the first game - seeing as Human
Revolution is supposed to be set before JC Denton's time.
Gunther Hermann and Anna Navarre were supposed to be relics compared to JC, yet Adam Jensen has incredibly advanced augmentations already.
