@Vega75: Thanks for the tip. Now, just like in real life, you are now ignored.
I can't speak for the other guys, but when I saw my new forum title I was pretty giddy! Now, I can't wait to get my gift card so I can afford to splurge on the DCUO!
Thanks all, and congratz again to Eiffel and jib!
Why don't you ask all the game developers who voted it GOTY for 2009. Then, after that, ask the millions of people who have played(or still playing) and loved it.
That's your answer.
@Bordello:
I was just wondering, how were you using your cables? PS3, DVD Recorder etc? Did you plug and unplug the cables often? Just wondering since my consoles are pretty mobile and move them around a lot. I'm hoping it doesn't damage the cables
The Departed and The Fighter are great movies. Wahlberg even got nominated for numerous best actor and best supporting actor awards.
Actually, a Splinter Cell collection would be awesome, but I agree with the need for collections for Metal Gear, GTA, Ratchet & Clank. Maybe Jak & Daxter too?
Wouldn't mind Bully being remastered on PS3, although I do have it for my 360.
A cult classics collection would be great for titles like Katamari Damacy, Okami etc.
Strategic placement..
What does that have to do with anything?
I've got all consoles and I would choose Mass Effect 2 and RDR as my personal GOTY.
Does it have coop? Coz I'd rather not shit my pants by myself
It was odd(and tedious) that a prince would have to fetch a package in another region just to become friends with some nobody.
Fable III was a mixed bag for me. I thought the story elements, pacing and character management was top notch(until the countdown, that is) but the mechanics and role-playing were so dumbed down it felt that another playthrough would yield the same character. Weird thing is, I couldn't stop playing it - found all the silver keys and gold keys, unlocked all Demon Doors etc.
As for the game being too easy, it definitely is once you've maxed out. The Crawler was such a ...
Good to hear that it's good fun. I was leaning towards PS3 version but with the social aspect issues that you mentioned with the PS3, now I'm not so sure. I do like the fact that it feels natural with the DS3. I wonder if it's cross-platform. Thanks again mate
Which platform is better for the game?
Looks amazing already. I don't know if it was being played on easy but AI needs some work. Plenty of time to fix that though.
It'll be hard, but I might stay away from any U3 videos until it's released so everything is fresh when I play for the first time.
Cannot wait!!
Quote from the article:
"I asked him if he could at least confirm that the color green would make a big appearance in this game. "I'll put a green filter in just for you," he replied. Here I was, a journalism flea, annoying him."
Unusual 'journalism'. It seems the author was intent on nitpicking and annoying Herman Hulst. I never really picked up on Kotaku's disdain for PS3 related but this article seems to enforce that not...
Totally agree, the suit's purpose is to instill fear in the criminals he fights, not just some gimmick to make a name for himself. 'Year One' showed the thought process behind the suit so maybe this article's author should read that first.
I have to say, the CGI in that trailer was fantastic. I thought it was live action at some points.
What don't I get? Which games will be delayed again?
This is semi-good news. Early part of 2011 is jam packed with quality releases, at least my wallet can get a rest before this comes out. But please release this in the first half of 2011.
I don't know about the story being brilliant. The premise was good, but the execution was cheesy. Wake's constant narration took me out of the immersion and his constant references to Stephen King were kind of annoying. The game doesn't invite you to find little hidden references to its pop culture influences, it spits in your face as if to say, "Look how clever we are!".
That said, I did enjoy parts of the game. Levels like The Truth and The Clicker wer...
I thought the game's biggest problem was Alan Wake himself. The supporting characters were great, especially Barry, but Alan was such a douche. It was kind of hard to root for the guy and his stupid running commentary.
