I wonder if anyone is going to be able to crack it for early access.
Probably Fifa Kinect then.
Kinect garbage is virtually guaranteed.
Having the hard drive easily upgradable makes this a good purchase for most anyone. Going straight to a 1TB doesn't leave you with a wasted HDD now. Such a better option than 360's 4GB worthless edition.
But still I hope they can get this to $149 soon for the sake of continued sales. I mean I just bought the 500GB PS3 Slim Assassin's Creed 3 bundle for $230 through Newegg's Ebay sale. Not much more money for a whole lot better package.
So a bunch of meaningless generic marketing adjectives. How captivating.
The current Origin Humble Bundle is an incredible deal. It's good to see them finally try and compete with Steam pricing. Origin is still terrible compared to Steam but at least they're finally catching on that MSRP years after launch does not fly in PC gaming.
It would be a mistake if they try and shoehorn Shepard in to another sequel. It's time for a whole new story. They created an amazing universe so there's plenty they could do with a totally new story. Plus continuing any game based on past decisions would be so convoluted at this point it would be impossible to manage a coherent story.
If we have to use Games for Windows Live then that alone is a deal breaker.
Well if you want to install your own larger HDD this is actually probably the best option. Pay less for base model and put a good 1TB drive in it.
Xbox One will likely be the baseline for multiplat developers as the lowest common denominator between XB1/PS4/PC. Last gen PS3/360 were so different that they just developed the same game in parallel and never fully exploited the hardware of either. But since PS4/XB1 share such similar architecture, it's quite likely that games will be developed as 1 version with a scalable engine. And PS4 versions will get the effects settings cranked up at the very least.
IIRC they're split into 2 teams now. So yeah we will get both. But honestly after a Uncharted 4 I hope they take a break and do another new game. Uncharted is great but it seems dull after seeing what they did with TLOU. Makes me want to see what else they can come up with.
Aside from GT6, it probably is. And that's definitely not a bad thing. Now all studios can focus on PS4 while PS3 will still have good 3rd party support. PS3 getting top notch exclusives right up until PS4's launch is perfect timing. Certainly better than Microsoft abandoning 360 long before XBO's launch. I mean there's been like 3 big exclusives of just the standard Halo/Gears/Forza since 2010.
That just tells us that the entire Wii U userbase are hardcore Nintendo fans. It's not gaining traction with the mass market and won't until the price comes down and more 3rd party games are released. Just more Nintendo games won't change much.
Microsoft's user account DRM is just unbearable. Try tying a Windows phone to your XBL account. Just getting it to work requires a ridiculous work around involving making a new dummy account and waiting 30 days to transfer it (which can only be done on a 360). It has been so infuriating...
That'll be out long before PS5. And it'll probably just be multi layered Blu-Ray discs. Hell PS4 will probably play them.
Personally I think all of this easly video uploading stuff is terrible. Having a barrier to entry of recording equipment helps weed out morons uploading pointless crap. And considering how badly Youtube is flooded with that junk already, things will only get worse. I'm expecting masses of unedited garbage. Instead of well done kill montages by skilled players we'll get floods of "hurr hurr skip to 13:34 for epic lulz".
Honestly I'd like to see them do a whole new different game next. Good developer and really Saint's Row needs a break. SR V would probably be quite stale if they just keep trying to exceed the wackiness. Not even really excited for SR IV personally with GTA5 coming and having played SR3 just like 10 months ago.
In it's current form it would have succeeded in 2010. And from the hardware specs it damned well could have existed then. Probably at the same price point. Instead they came to late to get much 3rd party support from PS3/360 devs and too underpowered to get any next gen support.
So publishing Total War, Company of Heroes, and Dawn of War games qualifies them as a PC "game maker".
Still it's very good to hear that PC gaming is becoming a dominant revenue stream.
They should do a conversion of GT6 before going for a ground up PS4 game. PS4 needs a Gran Turismo a lot quicker than PS3 got it. Lots of decent visual enhancements would be easy and they could reuse assets to speed up the process.
