I'm glad MS has changed the Xbox One into a reasonable console. Getting one at launch. Problem is that PS4 is still significantly better hardware at a cheaper price. Would recommend to anyone getting a single console to pick PS4 over XBO.
My eye was drawn to the $10 gift card for buying Splinter Cell: Blacklist and a case of orange soda. Freaking weird combo. Does Kel Mitchell do a voice in this game or something?
Well that's definitely expected for this gen. But personally there's no way I'm buying digital versions of retail games from Microsoft or Sony if they don't start discounting them from disc copies. Cheaper from day 1, large sales, and keep price cuts consistent with age of the game. Steam model essentially.
Just delusional to think people will buy digital games when they cost the same as a disc and then continue costing full MSRP long after you can buy the ga...
It's funny they represented it as a graphics card. Because the Xbox One's GPU is like a Radeon 7770 vs a 7850 of the PS4. Difference between a budget $100 card and a $200 solid mid range card.
But yeah this garbage article is barely coherent. Almost seems like a google translate.
JRPGs have sadly fallen into being a niche genre. There's a set amount of people who like anime stylized characters and "quirky" dialogue. Personally I find most to be obnoxious beyond tolerable have barely played any since FFX. It seems like over the last 10 years WRPGs have grown to provide incredible immersive and detailed worlds, while JRPGs remained stagnant and moving only toward appealing to their small niche.
It would have done a lot better if they'd advertised the gameplay visuals better. I remember seeing tons of Dreamcast ads when I was a kid with stupid CGI crap and "it's thinking". Didn't think much of it as I played my N64. Yet then being utterly shocked by how amazing the games looked when I finally got around to seeing one in action. Had no clue at all that it had online play even. It was early 2001 when I got one and far too late to do them any good. It was an era be...
I've thrown away horribly outdated PC parts with better specs than the Wii U.... years ago. It's hard to really compare costs to PC components because Nintendo decided to go with an overly complicated and inefficient architecture to incorporate old Gamecube era CPU design for the sake of backwards compatibility. Raised costs significantly and essentially crippled the hardware from being even close to modern low-end PC components.
I feel like this is a system that cou...
The Oculus Rift will make human females obsolete.
I for one have completely lost faith in him producing anything new except lame casual games. Sure this stuff may appeal to the Nintendo disciples but what everyone else wants are new IPs and full fledged games.
The Wii U launched dead in the water. Wrong console at the wrong time backed by no games or dev support. PS4/XBO both have far more hype behind them and retailers will be jumping at the chance to revitalize console game sales.
Nowhere did they mention that you could actually upload files to it. At best you'll be able to save your gameplay capture videos. Everything else is just re-downloading digital purchases, game saves, and your profile. Exactly how things are now but with a shiny coat of marketing BS.
It just means you can re-download your games. Exactly how things currently are on every digital distribution platform in existence. Just marketing it as the magic cloud now. And apparently a whole bunch of morons on here are falling for it like there's something new here.
Why are people making this out as a big deal? All they're saying is that you can download your digital purchases and profile at any time. Anything less would be a step backwards.
Keeping saves online is nice, but hell PS+ does that right now anyways. Just an expected feature imo.
Yeah it would be nice if you could use it for uploading personal files. But they're not saying that and it's just not going to happen except for recorded gameplay stuf...
Even at $199 I doubt it. Got one recently with low expectations for the hell of it and still managed to be disappointed. The Wii U is just such a terrible platform so far and things will not get better any time soon. Even with the big Nintendo games released it won't change much overall. Only a diehard Nintendo fanboy could support this system.
Wow. Shows what can be done with 5 years of almost purely content creation and an unlimited budget. GTA4 is like a tech demo compared to what this game has.
I'm just waiting for the Oculus Rift and Virtuix Omni VR Treadmill combo. Or I may just get lost in VR addiction with the Oculus and stop caring about my physical body entirely.
This generation is going to be pretty much one console from the perspective of 3rd party games. PC/PS4/XB1 are essentially one development platform now with such similar hardware architecture. Games will be made for all 3 without much addition effort. Just don't see 3rd party exclusives even existing without the console maker intervening.
Main advantage PS4 has is that since most games will be made on universal engines it won't take much effort to crank up visual eff...
I ordered one that should be here tomorrow. I'm mostly buying it because I intend to own them all and there was a decent deal on the ZombiU bundle. I doubt Nintendo will drop the price more than $50 before Christmas and I might as well enjoy the novelty of it a bit before PS4/XBO. Then the maybe 2 games per year worth playing after that.
But I would never suggest anyone with limited funds buy a Wii U over another system. Even as a secondary system everyone should wait un...
There's no such thing as solid 60fps on any PC game. It depends entirely on your hardware setup. Drives me nuts to see people talk about frames per second like it's some kind of magic number.
Agh I wish we would hear something about the retail version or even an HD dev kit soon. Regretting not just ordering the dev kit months ago. Ordering now just to have a better version come out would be very disappointing...
