I think it's an add-on for the Wii or something.
This just in - The Xbox One confirmed to include Kinect.
Wow I thought just full MSRP was bad enough for digital games. That only gets ridiculous when you can find it in stores for $20 and it's still $60 online. For South Africa this is just insanity if they expect people to ever switch over to primarily digital downloads.
If that were true you'd think they would've had a decent launch lineup ready for the Wii U.
How bout modern hardware and 3rd party support. That would be nice.
Yeah I was bored within an hour. It's like they tried to mimic the Arkham games combat but failed miserably. Batman would suck too if all you did was attack, block and QTE finish moves. Probably go back to it after playing other, better games. Visuals are fantastic though. About on par with Killzone I'd say.
Legitimate lol on that one.
I got the camera with my PS4 and have an XBO. Seems almost as functional as the Kinect for menus but not forced. The Playroom is a great little free demo showing off what it is capable of for games. Better than the crappy Kinect Sports demo with only jetski racing. With all the hype behind the Kinect you'd think they'd have something to actually show off it's potential.
Well that's good. The Wii fad died out quick back in 2010. And Wii U sales are certainly showing most people's lasting impression of the Wii.
Surprisingly the Wii was the only console I've ever bought that was DOA. Disc drive wouldn't function at all. Just returned it for a new one the next day. Was about a month after launch. Nintendo systems are definitely more reliable, but not infallible.
It's at least in the same ball park. Wii U is about what the Wii was to PS3/360. 4 years behind in tech and too weak to run any PS4/XBO multiplats.
No one is saying they beat PC specs. But try playing a modern PC/360/PS3 multiplat game on a graphics card from 2005/6. Even a top of the line $600 card of that era won't be able to run a modern game well if at all. And 360/PS3 GPUs are not even high end for the time. Optimization and dedicated hardware goes a long ways.
That seems stupid because it's not like people go out on black friday to buy the newest thing at full retail price.
PS4's only real con is the lack of games. That and pretty much everything else will be solved in time. What really matters now is that the hardware and online service provides a good base for new games and expansion of services. PS4 does that to perfection with powerful hardware and sleek console design. Xbox One is in the same situation yet has weaker hardware and a higher price. Wii U is weaker to the point that it won't get the big PS4/XBO multiplats, yet isn't much cheaper.
I've "upgraded". But plan on going back to PS3 games often. Just might as well get next-gen asap if you have the money. Prices won't come down for years and there's good games out now. You know the games are coming out regardless, why wait?
360 sales were entirely supply limited, though. What's really telling is how soon a console is sitting on store shelves unsold after a launch.
I dunno it at least has a very interesting concept. Of course if it weren't a free PS+ game on PS4 I wouldn't have played it.
Well becoming a multimedia center was inevitable. It would be just stupid not to include apps and a web browser when the hardware is all there. Just a matter of adding software.
Most people will buy a system for the games and the other features are a bonus. Only thing is PS4 does the games part better and at a cheaper price.
And BTW how many gamers out there even have live TV anymore?
Newegg also has them with a $10 gift card included right now. Including pre-order of Titanfall. Not as good but actually better for anyone who has to pay sales tax on Amazon and not on Newegg (like myself in WA).
Yep the fad is over and left no good lasting impression. The gamepad gimmick failed to resonate. Now they're left with an under-powered machine that's getting no 3rd party support. Back to the fanboy life support of the Gamecube days.
