Yeah I'll admit that's pretty impressive.
About time someone actually tries to look like a character, and not just a skimpy imitation that gets lots of attention for wearing little clothing.
Resolutions limit how much detail can be shown onscreen. 1080p is a REQUIRMENT to show decent details, in fact there was no point in running Ultra settings in 2011 unless you had 1080p+.
At this point 4K isn't limiting anything though, but it probably will in a year or so.
4 x Fury X could run 8K alright a couple years ago.
Too bad you can't 3/4-SLI anymore. Dual SLI is on deathwatch too...
You call a 45% stronger GPU, and a 20% stronger CPU "Crushing"? lol ok buddy.
What a provoking counter-point.
Is this a joke?
The new RX 580's are clocked ~1400 MHz. How did they not manage to clock it higher? LMAO
You mean like that delivered on $600 PC's over a year ago?
This article hit the nail on the head.
The power difference between the Scorpio and PS4 Pro is decently smaller than that of the PS4 vs X1. So anyone who said "No one can tell the difference between 900p and 1080p", which is laughably wrong; cannot make any claim that the X2 is much stronger than the PS4K.
And those that saw the previous power gap as big (I did) can concede that it wasn't a generational difference, and now it is smaller.
They can make a conventional PS5, and it can still be backwards compatible.
The switch to x86 makes this easy.
"When PS4 Pro just came out". LOL in 2019 it won't have "just" come out.
This reminds me of early 2012 when me and a few other people started hearing rumors of the PS4. We all thought "But I am fine with my PS3 right now!" Then mid-2013 rolled around, and we couldn't wait to get rid of our 7-year outdated boxes of plastic.
2019 would be perfect.
Good lord this guy is king of the idiots lol.
1) Nobody thought Sony was gonna show off the PS5 this E3. You aren't smart for saying that lol. Earliest we will see it is E3 2018, but more likely January 2019 (For a fall 2019 launch).
2) Scorpio will not cost $600 LMAO! The equivalent GPU is $200!!! It will cost $349 if MS is deadly serious about the console market, $399 if MS just wants to do business as usual, and $449 - $499 if MS just doesn...
@darthv72
Do you have the numbers of PS4S vs PS4K sales?
From what I have read the more expensive PS4 Pro is selling above half as well. That's pretty good...
@VoodooProject
Not by much. Scorpio's only ~45% stronger than the PS4 Pro. That's smaller than the difference between PS4S and X1S.
Not to mention Sony seems to have way more DLC/timed release deals too.
Well said.
At this point though there is no point in Scorpio. All of the same games are on PC, and you can build a PC that's 50% stronger than scorpio RIGHT NOW for $600 - $800.
PS4 Pro makes sense because there are people that will want to play Nioh, Uncharted, TLoU2, and Horizon at high resolutions/framerates. Plus Playstations always have decent price/perf.
Just wait for the Shyamalan plot twist at E3: Scorpio is the XBOX Two. A new gen will commence this fall.
@phoenixwing
The fact is XBOX has been a dumpster fire of wasted money for MS from start to finish.
-XBOX lost 6 Billion
-360 maybe broke even (RROD and Disc-grinder counteracted the LIVE profits)
-X1 has lost money or maybe broken even
So overall XBOX is a net loss. Thus loser.
I mean the question is if you consider the X1 a success.
I don't, and thus I think the Scorpio won't be either.
I mean we knew the specs a year ago. Nothing has changed. It was always going to cost $399.
Twice?!
Not even 50% stronger. It's 46% stronger, and it doesn't have games.
I agree it can't cost more than $399. If they were serious it would cost $349.
We will see.
If they could get it to work perfectly, like AMD keeps trying to do: it would be incredible.
I will always vote for innovation through perseverance over giving up.
