This is exactly whats pissing PC gamers off. Its not allowed on Steam but its available on other sites. Why not just have it on Origin if they wanted to go that route.
Its also more expensive on Origin then other sites. Shouldnt an EA game be cheaper on an EA service??? They expect everyone to leave their favorite retailer to go buy games from Origin but they wont reduce their prices by much.
I know for sure that i wont be buying it from Origin. Its hard to navigate, the prices are insane, there are very few games etc. etc. etc....
Also i dont like the fact that EA wont let Steam sell it but its ok for other sites to sell it. I think thats like a slap in the face for both Steam and its users.
Ill buy it but not on Origin. A boxed copy more likely.
Id like to see cross platform gameplay with each other or at the very least with PC. It dont make sense to have closed multiplayer considering how most devices today are connected.
People already use a mouse + keyboard on PS3/360 so there is no reason not to implement cross platform competitive multiplayer this time.
It looks like if you want to rank up fast its best to play objective gametypes as if they were team deathmatches. Nobody will be going for the objectives if they leave it like this. Just sit back and get kills to rank up.
The only way id buy anything from Origin is if its dirt cheap. With the prices they charge that coupon code still dont offer much benefit.
You would think when the middle man is cut out and EA is selling their own games, the prices would be decent. Not the case here.
If you want to give your hard earned money away then give it to charity, not EA's Origin.
Im not worried. I wont be using Origin for game purchases. I buy games on Steam or my local store.
They are grasping at straws trying to 'pimp" Origin. Removing battlefield 3 from Steam but allowing other sites to sell the game is just being dirty in my opinion. If your going to remove it from one then remove it from them all.

I use to get excited about articles like these. Just the thought of a new console put a smile on my face. Then i realized that i can have next gen now by playing on PC. Its not expensive like most seem to think.
I play with my gamepad on my 55 inch LED and forget im even on PC. Its like a console but superior in every way.

Very true. It just depends on what you are use to. I play PC multiplayer shooters all the time with my gamepad and see no difference between console and PC.

The game should have built in 360 gamepad support. So you should still be able to "lay on your ass" while playing.
Also dont believe the crap about PC controls are superior. It just depends on what you are use to.
This late in the console generation the lead platform should be PC. Dont expect great graphics on this one. No game engine can work miracles.
This article just knocked the game down a bit in my opinion.
Sony will more likely sell more units then the xbox 360 as time goes on. People seem too focused on sales as a measure of success.
I believe microsoft succeeded in what they set out to do this generation. That is to be at Sony's level in the console industry. The PS1 and PS2 reigned supreme. That cant be said this generation because of Xbox. Where did all these xbox fans come from?? ...........Sony

I use a gamepad for PC shooters because there is no need for a mouse and keyboard. I see no difference playing against M/K players compared to controller users on console. I consistently place near the top of the scoreboard. It is just what you are use to. I grew up with a gamepad.
PC gamers are not what they use to be. Many play on big screen tvs and want to relax in a recliner while playing games. Harder to do with a keyboard under one hand and a ...
Just click on the link in the article and follow what it says. It gives you a code then you download it through origin. Many got rejected though.
I played very little since the gamepad controls are just like Metal of honor. The right stick sensitivity is so high thats its unplayable. I only use a gamepad for PC shooters because thats what i love using. I find it better then a keyboard and mouse.

Your optomistic about this topic considering there were many great and successful download only titles this generation.
Its true that the next generation of consoles will more likely have an optical drive of some sort but as the generation ages ill guarantee that optical drive will be used less. Download only special bonuses will be used a lot just like preorders bonuses are today.

This is where the industry is going. I wouldnt be suprised if the next generation of consoles dont have an optical drive. Publishers will be focused on delivering their games through downloads and USB drives.
Im not sure about others but pushing for better graphics is important to me. Ive upgraded to PC recently because i got tired of waiting for Sony/MS to tell me when next gen will begin. One of the best decisions i ever made.
Im not a fan of Origin but its going to take a lot more to make me lower myself to the console version.
