As a console gamer with 100,000 gamerscore and countless trophies im making the switch to PC within the week. My 360/PS3 will be retired.
Next gen will start when i make a computer upgrade. Not when MS or sony says so.
Battlefield 3's new engine sparked this debate so much lately. With or without a new engine COD will sell as well if not more then the other CODs.
People love that there isnt much learning curve to the game. Most prefer the superhuman floating characteristics of movement. Many need the over the top aim assist which makes your gun stick to people as they move.
Thinking these people will move to another game which they must take more time to learn is a...
If you want better graphics then demand a new generation of consoles or buy a PC. You cant expect great things on old hardware. You can bet they will show console footage at E3 though.
Have your woman buy you things then you can have more money for more important things like a next gen console.
Same here. Im just waiting to see what is shown at E3 also. If nothing of next generation is announced then its PC 100% for me.
I agree with you. I dont believe they will let Nintendo launch without microsoft themselves close behind. They know the advantage of launching first.
Consoles are too out of date now, there is no way they will wait till 2013 to launch. Thats too far off.
I will buy one at launch without hesitation. Bring it on microsoft!!!
I am actually starting to enjoy single player a lot more then multiplayer. This is coming from a person who logged in countless hours in multiplayer over the years.
Microsoft knows the advantage they had launching first this generation and wont allow Nintendo to get too much of a head start. Who knows what nintendo has in store. They could have hardcore games like Battlefield 3 and Skyrim planned at launch.
It would be crazy for microsoft not to launch late 2012 or early 2013 if multiplatform games are being made for Wii 2 with better visuals in 1080p.
I love my 360 but ill be buying all games for my Wii 2 if they l...
The only thing that will be "groundbreaking" for me is a new console announcement. A few new exclusives on an outdated console wont get me excited. That goes for PS3 also.
Its nothing like microsofts past situation. I went through 2 RROD xbox's and it didnt cost me a cent and took just a few days to have another sent to me. Sony has given out my private info which already cost me my privacy and could cost me money in the future.
Those that dont grasp how bad this situation is are more likely too young and have to rely on parents credit info or are just very naive to the situation.
Why these articles get approved is beyo...
Im surprised this article was approved since N4G consists mainly of sony fans.
I agree. Theres no way they will wait till 2014 to launch and if they do the system better be able to cook for me.
I deserve the beta because Gears 1 and 2 were first day purchases for me but im unsure for this one. I would like to play the beta to confirm that it is improved over the others.
Wrong system?? I own them all and feel we need a new generation now. If it was launched today i would buy it.
Just because Nintendo got away with a less powerful system this generation dont mean they can pull it off next gen. For some reason people loved motion controls this gen and nintendo reaped the rewards.
Of all the console manufacturers, nintendo knows what they are doing. If they think a powerhouse system is going to work then its more likely going to succeed.
The Wii wasnt launched first this gen which left it at a disadvantage hardware wise because it wasnt very powerful to begin with. If it is launched first this time with decent hardware games will look better on the new console compared to PS3/360.
Nintendo will be in a great position to take the hardcore crowd away from the PS3/360 while the competition is trying to capture the Wii's casual fans with Kinect and move.
If Nintendo can get this console ...
This is Nintendo's prime opportunity to capture the hardcore fans on the PS3/360 by releasing a more powerful platform before the competition. While the PS3/360 are busy trying to capture the Wii's fans, Nintendo will be capturing their fans.
Can you imagine Battlefield 3 or Skyrim on a new powerful Nintendo platform?? Ill be buying one at launch for sure.
People like me who have no "patience" for new tech and willing to spend big money on the latest and greatest thing helps the industry thrive.
You can thank me for the games your playing. If you like gaming you wouldnt want us impatient people to find a new hobby because the industry wouldnt be making the money it does now.
I hope this wouldnt mean playing against PC users for shooters. Console owners will be sitting ducks for a veteran keyboard and mouse user.
I believe microsoft experimented with cross platform gaming before the 360 was launched but scrapped it because of the advantages of using a mouse for PC users. If i find the article i will post it.
I think its a great idea. Those that believe that a keyboard and mouse will have an advantage over a controller is wrong. Its just depends on what you are use to. I play PC shooter games and im consistently at the top of the leaderboard with a 360 controller.
PC gamers are changing. No longer are they hunched over a keyboard watching a small monitor. They are relaxing in a big chair watching a large HD screen these days so a keyboard and mouse isnt the best option for these...
