I think maybe since they released this so close to launch gamers expected more. People feel that it should be almost fully polished by now. If it was released a couple months ago then there wouldnt be as much concern.
I already have it preordered from D2D and dont regret a thing. I cant wait for it.
If i can play big name games on my pc with my xbox friends im all for it. PC graphic options are a must though.
I certainly can see this all happening. The consumer provides their own hardware while paying for access to xbox live and buying accessories. This is where console manufacturers make their money. Through services, games and peripherals.
I agree 100% but judging by your disagrees there are still a few suckers out there. :)
Sounds like an immature needy woman wrote this article who has a boyfriend/husband that dont give her the attention she thinks she deserves.
Also what the hell does wanting to get married have to do with being a man?? lol Times are changing and roles are blurred. This person is having a hard time dealing with it.
@Legion
Just because i dont game on console as much anymore dont mean i wouldnt pick up a few decent exclusives.
Im not sure which is more disturbing....you having time to look through my past comments or you actually wanting to.
Mine is running great on a GTX580. Those that are having screen tearing problems should add Rage.exe file to your nvidia control panel. Then "Force Vsync on" through the control panel. Problem solved.
@Gamer3000
Most PC games come with gamepad support. Recently i gave up consoles and only game on PC. I wont buy a game unless it has gamepad support because i hate K/M.
Right now im playing Battlefield 3 beta online with my 360 controller and tearing it up just like on console. Playing against K/M players is no different then playing against gamepad users on console in my opinion. Use what your good at.
It funny how all these articles pop up saying Xbox live is hacked or down but the people that are actually playing online are not effected by any of this crap. Just another site looking for hits.
Ive always had trouble finding matches with Gears online. It takes too long to find a match and there is no join in progress to even out the teams when people quit. Thats one of the reasons i passed on gears 3.
I didnt bother picking this up for consoles because my eyes cant take the jaggies. Ill be picking it up for PC though.
I certainly see a shift in favor of COD after the battlefield beta. You can just feel it reading posts over the net.
I played the alpha and there was no falling through the map. I cant understand why Dice would put this version of the game out for the masses to play. It looks better then the alpha but there are too many glitches this close to launch.
I know what your saying but unlocking that next cool gun is always an incentive to keep going while having fun doing so.
Its true, that "other" game makes me feel "special" when it tells me im ...."SUPER AWESOME SEARGEANT MAJOR AWESOME PERSON!!" :)
Is it just me but caspian border feels too big on PC. Its too slow paced to rank up quickly. At the end of the round hardly anybody has a respectable amount of points. You need vehicles to get around. Its hard to spot anybody.
Ive only played a few matches, i may get use to it. It is beautiful though on PC.
I agree its too close to launch for a "beta" to have this many bugs. Consistently falling through the map among other things is not acceptable.
@Virus201
If Dice released an early stage beta then i think Dice needs to get their "head checked." This beta being release so close to launch is going to affect many peoples purchase decisions.
Im a PC gamer and i will be buying both. They are different games. I love battlefield games but it will never take the place of COD. Sometimes i want fast action without having to sit through 15+ minute matches.
I played this map yesterday. It looks breathtaking on PC. Im surprised they didnt let the engine shine by allowing everyone to play on this map. It looks way better then the other map offered in the beta.
All this talk about graphics. If you truly feel that graphics are important then you would have been playing games on PC long ago.
Build a PC or buy one pre-built. Battlefield 3 has built in controller support that works excellent on PC. They did a great job on it. Im on top of the scoreboard consistently. Convert to PC now. You wont regret it.
MS wouldnt allow PS3 vs xbox but they would allow PC vs xbox. They already wanted to do it with the 360 but didnt work out the way they wanted. Now maybe they have everything ironed out for the upcoming windows 8.
Cross platform play will be great... PC vs console. Its about time really. I hope windows 8 truly takes advantage of this.
Welcome to PC gaming. No need to give up your controller either.
